Ultimate ColourPop Eyeshadow Palette Ranking April 18, 2020
ColourPop Palettes are like chips: it is impossible to have just one. ColourPop makes some of the most affordable and high-quality eyeshadow formulas on the market. But is every palette just as good? Keep reading for my ultimate ColourPop eyeshadow palette ranking.
The Ultimate ColourPop Eyeshadow Palette Ranking
11 | ColourPop x Disney Designer Collection Villains Misunderstood Eyeshadow Palette | $22.00, CF
Without a doubt, the ColourPop x Disney Villains Misunderstood Palette is the best item that was released within the Disney Villains collection. This palette is a half neutral, half colorful palette that makes playing with makeup fun.
None of the looks I create with this palette ever look or feel the same and the varied eyeshadow texture keeps me interested. Read my full review of the ColourPop x Disney Villains Collection.

10 | ColourPop x Disney Designer Collection Princess Premier It’s a Princess Thing Eyeshadow Palette | $23.00, CF
I was not bothered when the ColourPop launched the Disney Designer Princess Premier collection in collaboration with Disney. However, this palette slowly won me over due to its classic color scheme and cute packaging.

ColourPop x Disney Designer Collection Princess Premier It’s a Princess Thing Palette
Although this palette is one of the lower-ranked palettes in my ColourPop eyeshadow palette collection ranking, I do enjoy this palette. Disney fans will love the pretty princess design on the outer packaging.

9 | ColourPop Through My Eyes Eyeshadow Palette | $23.00, CF
ColourPop’s Through My Eyes Eyes Eyeshadow Palette collaboration with an influencer, iLuvSarahii, was my very first ColourPop palette. This is a spicy neutral palette with pops of red and teal that is great for anyone just starting to dip their toes into color.
Unlike every other palette on within my ColourPop eyeshadow palette ranking, this palette comes with a mirror. Read my complete review of the Through My Eyes Palette here.

8 | ColourPop Yes, Please Eyeshadow Palette| $16.00, CF
The ColourPop Yes, Please Eyeshadow Palette is the palette that started them all. Although Yes, Please (sometimes referred to as the Cute AF Palette) is the brand’s first pressed shadow palette, this is one of the newer ColourPop Palettes to my collection.
The Yes, Please palette is a mix of warm-toned neutrals that is reminiscent of the Natasha Denona Sunset Palette. Although this color story is common, this is an amazingly affordable option for beauty lovers on a budget.

7 | ColourPop x Disney Designer Collection Midnight Masquerade Palette | $23.00, CF
The ColourPop x Disney Designer Collection Midnight Masquerade Palette had my favorite packaging design of 2019. However, the palette itself left something to be desired due to the way the deeper mattes faded and creased.
I strongly dislike the two chunky pressed glitters in this palette, but am very drawn to the metallic shades in the Midnight Masquerade Palette. Read my full review on the ColourPop x Disney Designer Collection Midnight Masquerade Palette.

6 | Sailor Moon x ColourPop Pretty Guardian Palette
Trying to get my hands on the Sailor Moon x ColourPop Pretty Guardian Palette was a major struggle. After being repeatedly kicked out of my cart for 15 minutes, I was finally able to order the Pretty Guardian Palette.

Sailor Moon x ColourPop Pretty Guardian Palette
The Pretty Guardian Palette has super fun, holographic packaging featuring one of Sailor Moon’s most memorable GIFs. The colors in this palette are light, bright, and fun.

The Sailor Moon x ColourPop Pretty Guardian Palette sold out on launch day. ColourPop may bring this palette back in the future.
5 | ColourPop x Kathleen Lights So Jaded Eyeshadow Palette | $39.00, CF
The ColourPop x Kathleen Lights So Jaded Eyeshadow Palette was the brand’s first 30-pan Mega Palette. At $39.00, the 30-pan palettes are ColourPop’s most expensive palettes.
Similarly to the Misunderstood Palette, this is a half-neutral, half-colorful palette that is inspired by gemstones. Although bulky, this palette can be used to create many different looks.

4 | ColourPop I Think I Love You Eyeshadow Palette|$16.00, CF
The ColourPop I Think I Love You Palette is a great, staple neutral shadow palette. Although it is a neutral palette, the shades included in this palette can create a wide variety of looks. Not only does this neutral palette contain multiple undertones, but the depth of shadows is varied.
Unfortunately, ColourPop discontinued the I Think I Love You Palette in 2019.

3 | ColourPop Good Sport Eyeshadow Palette | $16.00, CF
Colorful and neutral makeup lovers, alike, seem to agree: ColourPop’s Good Sport Palette remains one of the brand’s most well-made, carefully curated palettes. Good Sport has a mix of unexpected neutrals and grungy pops of color.
Good Sport is truly is the perfect palette for Fall-themed looks, but sadly it is no longer available.

2 | ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream St. Palette | $16.00, CF
The ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream St. Palette remained a bestseller for good reason. Although this is a rose-gold, neutral palette with a pop of teal and red, it is effortlessly pretty. Whether I want to rock full-glam or soft-glam, this has become one of my most reached for palettes.

Sadly, as of March 2020, this cult classic eyeshadow palette has been discontinued.
1 | ColourPop Sweet Talk Eyeshadow Palette | $18.00, CF
Did you guess that Sweet Talk would top my ColourPop eyeshadow palette collection ranking?
ColourPop’s Sweet Talk Palette was the brand’s best release of 2019. Period. This stunning coral-themed palette is wonderful for creating beautiful, soft pinky coral toned looks that are perfect for both neutral and colorful eyeshadow lovers.
The mix of textures in the Sweet Talk palette – Super Shock, Matte, Metal, Pressed Glitter – make this a visually stunning palette to behold. Read my Sweet Talk Eyeshadow Palette review.

Final Thoughts on My Ultimate ColourPop Eyeshadow Palette Ranking
There are relatively few affordable brands on the market that create eyeshadow palettes that are as high quality as ColourPop for the price. There are even fewer brands that are so on top of trends and are as fast-moving as ColourPop.
That being said, ColourPop Palettes are dangerous because of how frequently the brand releases new palettes. Lately, it feels like so many of the brand’s releases are dupes of other previously made palettes. In 2020, I’ve paused purchasing new palettes for this reason.
Do I love the ColourPop palettes that I own? I sure do – but after being in love with the brand for so long, I had to take a step back to think critically about each new release. Within my collection, I am most in love with my Dream St. and Sweet Talk palettes. However, I still have a lot of love for the other palettes featured in my ColourPop eyeshadow palette collection ranking.
Despite my critics of the brand’s launch cycle, I recommend ColourPop to any makeup beginners or anyone one a budget. ColourPop makes it so easy for anyone to love makeup and keep up with the latest trends.

I do love the colour pop stuff and I brought the Disney collection when it first come out but I find is super expensive as I have to buy from America to get it delivered to uk, so it has added extra things to pay for. Still amazing quality palettes and super amazing pigmentations in all xx
I really hope that CP will become more readily available in the UK & rest of Europe since so many of my European friends say the same thing! I def agree with you about the quality & pigmentation – its so hard to pick a favorite palette from them since I’ve never tried one that was a dud!
Okay, I think I understand the need to declutter! HAHA! Colourpop has really killed it in the market, it appeals to both expert and amateur makeup enthusiast! You have a hugely varied collection but I definitely see some redundancies! I’ve never properly tried Colourpop before because I can never hit the free shipping mark or if I do I find it insane to spend SGD75 at a go. I do have 2 of their highlighters gifted to me by a friend which I find to be not bad although I think I got the more chunky glittery ones which I’m not the biggest fan of!
*lol covers my face in shame* … I really have way too much makeup and now my blog is a convenient excuse to keep buying and trying! You’re def right about having some duplicates – some shades are literally the same and others are nearly identically. I’m realizing that shipping is such a huge problem for so many international fans of the brand, but I hope that shipping internally will get easier / cheaper for CP eventually.
Were the highlighters their powder formula or Super Shock formula? I prefer the super shock formula to the powder ones!
HAHAHA Well, you do run a beauty blog so…..oops! HAHA Yess its in the SS but the payoff isn’t what I wanted!
The Yes, Please palette is so pretty, I only have the Zodiac one by them and I wish it was easier to get them here, I also got the Sweet Talk one but that order never arrived, sadly
oh no!!! that is terrible…especially since it was Sweet Talk! X_X
The Zodiac palette was like the one Kathleen Lights collaboration that I never tried lol – but now I think the brand has discontinued the palette. (It looks like they discontinued a ton of their OG palettes recently).
I’m obsessed with constellations (I have one tattooed) so that collection spoke to my soul 😂
ahhh that makes so much sense!!
I love all of these eyeshadows from ColourPop! These palettes have a ton of gorgeous colors and I am a big fan of their shimmery texture! Big plus that they are super affordable and you get a large color range as well! I love your collection – you can pretty much make any cool color combination with these! Thanks for sharing your collection hehe.
Nancy ♥ exquisitely.me
CP def makes so many gorgeous formulas and textures. Totally agree that it is easy to make any palette you can dream up with CP’s shadows!!
So jaded is beautiful, especially the silver, sapphire, and light green
It really is a super well thought out palette with such a lovely mix of colorful and neutral shadows!!
I love the Sailor Moon one! I think ColorPop is definitely great for starters especially because it’s so affordable but I also understand what you mean when you say most of the palettes are dupes of earlier palettes. It’s really not worth it if you already own something really similar.
Although it might not seem like it, I’ve done a better job at passing on palettes or at least waiting until after the hype dies down to determine if I want to purchase something. The only things that still make me jump are the limited edition releases – like the Sailor Moon one!!
They have so many palettes that it’s hard to pick which ones to try. Thanks so much for writing this post and sharing your thoughts and breakdowns with us, definitely helpful when deciding what to get!
It can def be overwhelming to choose between all of ColourPop’s offerings, but hopefully this will help!
Oh wow! Good Sport & Dream St. have the most pretty color stories. I totally see why they both made it so high on your list! How sad that they’ve been discontinued though. I wonder why they do that… 😠do they ever discontinue & then bring something back?
Colourpop is such a fun brand. Love how affordable they are while helping us easily keep up with trends if we wanted to. 🙂
Seriously, such pretty palettes! Dream St. I almost never even got a chance to buy. At first, I thought it was too basic, but I love it so much. It is a staple on the days that I don’t know what to wear. Also, they discontinued Dream St. because it was technically intended to be a limited edition palette and they discontinued nearly all of their older collab palettes!e
And yes 100% agree – i think they’re so important for making makeup accessible to people!
Hopefully they will bring back some of their older palettes, new & improved some day. 🙂 I definitely want more CP palettes after trying my first one! I get why you say they are just like chips now. 🤣
