7 Deadly Sins of Makeup Tag Questions
Please keep reading for my answers to the 7 Deadly Sins of Makeup Tag to find out which products I have a love-hate relationship with or what features I find attractive in the opposite sex.
Greed: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
Over the last few years, I received tons of dope free deluxe samples. Although those deluxe samples are free, my least expensive products are my e.l.f. Bite Size Palettes. These quads retail for $3.00.
At $125.00, my Pat McGrath x Star Wars Decadence Palette is the most expensive item in my beauty collection. Although Pat McGrath palettes are expensive, the quality of the shadows and the experience of using the palette is worthwhile.

Wrath: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
The Pat McGrath Nocturnal Nirvana Blitz Astral Quad is one of the most beautiful products in my collection. However, it will forever be tainted by my bad experience ordering the quad.
On the first day of Pat McGrath’s killer 2019 Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale, I ordered the Nocturnal Nirvana Quad. A few days later, the quad eventually sold out. Despite ordering the quad at the start of the sale, it was removed from my final order.
By the time I was notified, my only options for ordering the Nocturnal Nirvana Quad were Poshmark and Selfridges. On Poshmark, sellers were listing their quads at extortionate prices – $180.00 or higher (i.e. 3X higher than the original price, 4X higher than the sale price).
In the end, I paid for $30.00 shipping and ordered the quad from Selfridges. THEN a week or so later, the quad came back to Sephora.
Gluttony: What are your most DELICIOUS beauty products?
My Sol de Janeiro Body Mists are my most delicious beauty products. I own the Brazilian Crush* and Coco Cabana mists. They are long-lasting, tropical scents that add a light fragrance to the body without being overpowering.
Honorable Mention: The Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer* smells buttery and delightful, too.
Sloth: What beauty products do you neglect due to laziness?
Prior to my 20 in 2020 Project Pan, I tended to neglect my creme and liquid blushes, bronzers, and highlighters due to laziness. Using a creme product often takes more time and effort to apply than its powder counterpart. As someone with oily skin, I need to set my cremes with powders to lock them in place all day.
Pride: What beauty product gives you the most self-confidence?
Foundation. As someone with oily, textured skin, foundation is key to my beauty routine. Even from an application standpoint, I typically apply my base first and then my eye makeup. I would rather have bright, even looking skin than do an elaborate eye look.
Lust: What attributes do you find attractive in the opposite sex?
My eyes are such a dark shade of brown that they are nearly black. As such, I am instantly drawn to men with light-colored eyes – blue, green, or hazel. Longer, thick, curly hair is also very eye-catching.
Envy: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
Believe it or not, I do not always seek to receive makeup as a gift. However, I am dying to receive new ring lights or backdrops for photography purposes.
Final Thoughts on the 7 Deadly Sins of Makeup Tag
The 7 Deadly sins of Makeup Tag was an interesting take on a traditional beauty tag. Although I do not feel shame in buying expensive things, I still feel a lot of shame in regards to my beauty spending habits, overall.
Also, the fifth question reminded me of how much bullying can stick with you even as an adult. Although I still get an occasional breakout, my acne is not as severe as it was when I was younger. Yet, I still feel the burden of past bullying. So dear friends, please remember to be kind to those with acne (and teach your children to do the same).

I really enjoyed reading this post. Your experience with the Pat McGrath Nocturnal Nirvana Blitz Astral Quad must’ve been so annoying.
I was so upset by that experience, but I was more upset by all the resellers than the brand itself. So many people just stock up on limited edition Pat McGrath Palettes in bulk and then resell them at extortionate level prices!! True fans of the brand end up being punished – either because they miss out or because they have to pay 3-4x the price.
This was fun, LP. I don’t think I’d forget that experience with the palette either- the one that sold out. Also, so true about acne. We need to always be kind to one another.
I was so angry about the palette – although I was more angry with all the resellers online rather than the brand, itself. It is upsetting at how people will take advantage of someone else’s passion or hobby in order to extort money!
It’s so crazy how certain insecurities have stuck with me over the years … especially given that it’s been over 10 years since I experienced such brutal acne! I try to catch myself with the way I speak about my acne experience though. Rather than saying things like “when I had bad skin” because having acne doesn’t make my skin bad, it just meant that I had to deal with breakouts!
OMG I’d love to buy a Path McGrath palette but I can’t force myself to spend that much, I’d love to one day!
Every now and again Pat will have sales of up to 25% off which is the best time to buy something if you were hoping to ever try her eyeshadow formula!!
I like the way questions were based on the 7 deadly sins. I liked the pride and can relate as I instantly feel confident due to foundation and also like to apply it before I do my eye makeup.
I’m so glad you enjoyed this tag – I thought it was a fun one when I saw a fellow blogger do this! Foundation may not be as exciting as something like eyeshadow, but it is def an instant confidence booster!! And yes – glad to know someone else who applies makeup like this!!
Also, I tried to return a comment on your blog, but I am directed to a page that says the site is no longer available or has been deleted. I am wondering if the link in your gravitar profile on WP is broken! This happened to me when I changed my domain a few years ago!!
Ah the Sol de Janeiro range would have to be my most delicious too, those and the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush xo
Makeup Muddle
There is nothing quite like the Sol de Janeiro scent, right?? So incredibly delicious! Now I’m super curious about the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush, too!
I really like guys with light-coloured eyes too because I have really dark almost black eyes as well!
lol its so funny because my friends with light eyes always say they prefer dark eyes like you and I have! I guess we like what we don’t have? hahaha
Lol I guess so!
This is such a fun post. I would never thought you’d rather have a good foundation on than elaborate eye makeup. As someone who has oily skin and acne scars, I also value good skincare and foundation more than anything. If my foundation looks crappy and clings to uneven patched of my skin, I’d take it off and reapply again. Although I wouldn’t mind to have both stunning eye and face makeup
hahaha that would be the ideal – to have a great base and stunning eye makeup, too!! But I completely agree with you because I have similar skin.. oily with acne scars! Skincare makes such a huge difference, too.
I love reading these makeup tag blog posts because they’re really insightful and something a bit different. I definitely agree that foundation gives me the most self-confidence too. I think the right foundation makes or breaks your overall look. Reading this post reminded me how much I want a Pat McGrath eyeshadow palette, they’re so stunning!
*PMG is having a sale right now* if you were super tempted! Believe it or not, I have actually held back for once lol!
I have fun with these posts – I think they are often a light hearted break from reviews or other more formal beauty topics!
Oh what a fun & creative tag! I would absolutely love to try something by Pat McGrath sometime. Such a hassle you went through with the eyeshadow quad lol. I’m sorry you were bullied for your acne & that the mean words still stick with you. 🙁
The neutral quad from that collection is actually 50% off on her site right now lol! Never again will Seeing how she brings things back, I will never jump through hoops like that for a new release.
Also, it was crazy to really sit and think about how mean words can really stick with us – even after we lose contact with the people who said them or we no longer have the quality or condition that people tormented us for. But as mean as kids were to me, the experiences made me a more empathetic person to others.
Whaaaat?! That would drive me insane to see the quad, not only on sale, but so easily available now. Also, I love how you have been able to find the positives in what you’ve gone through. ♡
