My lip gloss collection ranking will be done by formula or brand rather than ranking each individual gloss. As always, these are ranked from least favorite to most favorite.

16 | ColourPop x Disney Villains Ultra Glossy Lip – Puppies!!! ($7.00, CF)
Sadly, the ColourPop x Disney Villains Ultra Glossy Lips were my biggest lip product disappointment of 2019. The formula is too metallic, extremely sticky, drying, and generally unflattering on the lips. Also, I dislike the brush applicator tip.
15 | Flower Beauty Galaxy Glaze Holographic Lip Gloss – Halo ($9.99, CF)
I’m glad to have received the Flower Beauty Galaxy Glaze Gloss at Beautycon LA. I love that this is a transformative gloss. However, the light purple tint and sticky finish make me less inclined to reach for this gloss.
[Edit – 6/22/20: Ultimately, I decluttered this gloss a while back. P.S. I think the formula is being discontinued.]
Flower Beauty, Natasha Denona, Urban Decay, Shared Planet, and Givenchy
14 | Natasha Denona Lip Glaze in Antique Rose & Wooden Rose ($22.00, CF)
When the Natasha Denona Lip Glazes went on sale at Sephora, I could not risk the temptation to try the formula. As a result, I purchased the shades Antique Rose and Wooden Rose based on online swatches. Unfortunately, Antique Rose and Wooden Rose look far lighter on the lips than they did in photos. In fact, the colors look milky on my lips. Therefore, I need to pair these glosses with darker lipsticks or lip liners.
From a formula standpoint, the Natasha Denona Lip Glosses feel stickier than others on this list. However, they are not as sticky as previous glosses that I’ve decluttered, but the formula is less comfortable than others further down on this list.
13 | Shared Planet Polar Bear Lip Gloss Bundle ($36.00, CF)
I discovered Shared Planet in 2019 after being bombarded with ads on YouTube. However, I am happy to have discovered this new brand. Shared Planet donates a portion of all sales to charities that work to save and preserve Polar Bears and Tigers.
The Polar Bear Bundle contains an icy white shade, Wintry, and Hudson Bay, a deep mauve. While I enjoy the colors of these glosses, the formula feels stickier than most of the other glosses on this list. Also, Wintry is stickier than Hudson Bay
Il Makiage, Shared Planet, Natasha Denona & More!
12 | Iconic London Lip Plumping Lip Gloss in Nearly Nude ($26.00, CF)
Iconic London is a newer brand to me. I tried it for the first time in 2019 after receiving a product in my October Boxycharm. In particular, the Lip Plumping Lip Gloss is the first Iconic London product I tried.
The Lip Plumping Lip Gloss feels cooling on the lips, but I don’t notice a huge plumping effect. However, I enjoy the color and the formula does feel nice.
11 | Stila Beauty Boss Lip Gloss in Kitten ($24.00, CF)
The Stila Beauty Boss Lip Gloss in the shade Kitten is reminiscent of the Il Makiage Lip Glaze formula. Specifically, it is a high shine glaze that adds a transformative shimmer to the lips. Also, the color was inspired by Stila’s iconic Kitten eyeshadow.

10 | Givenchy Gloss Interdit Vinyl – N1 Rose Revelateur ($30.00)
Do I enjoy my Givenchy Gloss? Yes – 100%. However, I am undecided as to whether I’d repurchase this gloss given the higher price tag.
9 | Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss in Rapture ($20.00, CF)
The Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss is such an underrated formula. I own the shade, Rapture, which is a beautiful rose mauve color.
Pat McGrath Labs, Dose of Colors, Glossier, & Bite Beauty
8 | Il Makiage x Carli Bybel High Shine Lip Glaze – Star Child & Twilight ($19.00, CF)
My Il Makiage x Carli Bybel glosses are the most beautifully packaged glosses in my collection. They look visually stunning and luxe.
More importantly, the High Shine Lip Glaze formula is a sheer, glittery gloss that acts as a transformative topper over any lip liner or lipstick. However, these are not the most long-lasting glosses. Ultimately, they do feel comfortable.
Unfortunately, this collection is no longer available. Hopefully, we’ll see similarly packaged lip glazes from the brand.
Kylie Cosmetics High Gloss Collection
7 | Kylie Cosmetics High Glosses ($16.00, CF)
Contrary to what you may think seeing the High Glosses at the seventh spot – I love my Kylie High Glosses. In fact, I own so many shades because it is a favorite formula of mine. My lips look luscious and plump.
However, these glosses are just a tad bit stickier (and more fragrant) than some of the others on this list. To see these glosses individually ranked and throughly reviewed read my full review of the High Glosses.

Kylie Cosmetics High Gloss Swatches
6 | Bite Beauty French Press Lip Gloss – Dirty Chai ( $22.00, CF)
Bite Beauty understands how to make high-quality lip products. The brand’s Dirty Chai French Press Lip Gloss is a lovely, pigmented burnt brownish nude gloss. I love wearing this gloss during the colder months. Sadly, the brand discontinued the formula in 2019.
5 | Glossier The Lip Gloss – Clear ($14.00, CF)
The Clear Lip Gloss* from Glossier is one of the glosses that helped to usher glossy lips back into US pop culture. This is the ultimate clear gloss – very high shine and versatile.
This gloss isn’t sticky, per se, but it is stickier than some of the below formulas. Read my brand review of Glossier‘s cult classic products.
Dose of Colors Lip Gloss – On Repeat & Seriously Taupe
4 | Dose of Colors Lip Glosses – On Repeat & Seriously Taupe ($17.00, CF)
My Dose of Colors Lip Glosses are my favorite opaque gloss formula. These glosses are non-sticky, comfortable, and easy to apply. Compared to the other glosses in my collection, these are the most pigmented.
However, the shades On Repeat* & Seriously Taupe* are closer in color than I thought they’d be based on Ulta’s color guide.
3 | Pat McGrath Labs Mini Lust Gloss Trio ($25.00, CF)
The Pat McGrath Labs Lust Glosses may not look impressive in the tube, but these glosses are ultra-high shine. The Lust Glosses are pigmented enough to wear on their own, but can easily be worn overtop another lip liner or lipstick.

Pat McGrath makes it easy to try the Lust Gloss formula through the countless mini bundles available on her site. I own the Warm Mini Lust Gloss Trio, but there are other variations available.

Persona Cosmetics Season One Lip Glosses
2 | Persona Cosmetic Lip Gloss ($16.00, CF)
Given that I own every shade in the Persona Cosmetics lip gloss line, it should go without saying that I love this formula. Moreover, these glosses have a thin formula that feels hydrating and non-sticky. Also, the glosses are pigmented, but not in an overpowering way. Read my full review of these glosses.

Persona Cosmetics Season One Lip Gloss Swatches
1 | Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb ($11.50 – $18.00, CF)
I am hooked on the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb formula. These glosses feel hydrating and creamy on my lips. Also, they work well on their own but pair well with other lip products. My lips look so luscious and plump when I wear these two glosses. Ultimately, these glosses are well worth the high price tag.

I own all of the shades from the brand except for Diamond Milk. Of the shades I own, Fenty Glow and Fu$$y are my favorite shades.

Final Thoughts on My Lip Gloss Collection
Do I need all these lip glosses? No – the color variation between these glosses is not that differentiated. However, each formula has its own unique feel. Moreover, each formula and shade wears differently when paired with various lipsticks, lipliners, or worn alone.
If you couldn’t tell from my earlier assessments in my ultimate lip gloss ranking, stickiness is my biggest pet peeve. In fact, I want my glosses to feel nourishing or hydrating – not like a crusty liquid lipstick. Moreover, I want the shine to last at least a few hours. Poor lasting power is such a flaw.
As a whole, I prefer transformative or sheer glosses as opposed to opaque formulas. Moreover, while I love a bold lip, I prefer softer glossy lips so I tend to reach for nude colors when I’m wearing something opaque.
