ColourPop Palettes are like chips – you can’t have just one. When I saw the promotional images for ColourPop’s coral-themed, Spring Collection I wanted to buy everything in the collection. After much internal debate, I decided to pick up Sweet Talk Eyeshadow Palette, but does it live up to the hype? Keep reading to find out.Read More
Despite behind a diehard drug store beauty fan, I came to the recent realization that I don’t actually talk about affordable beauty enough on my blog (outside of ColourPop). Although ColourPop is inexpensive, there aren’t as easily accessible as “traditional” drugstore brands given that purchases don’t qualify for free US shipping if they are under $30.00 USD.
Recently, I snagged a few affordable drugstore goodies from Target and CVS Health that I am stoked to be sharing with you! Nearly everything I grabbed is from a brand that I’ve yet to try, so I’m excited to see how these will perform.Read More

Let me level with you: I’ve had my online shopping cart ready since March… in anticipation for the Spring Sale. To be fair, I’ve had quite a lot of time to plan out my purchases (no impulse buys here) AND I have a few gift cards that have been burning a hole in my pocket. However, this will (hopefully) be my last haul until my birthday in the Fall because my spending has been out of control all year.
Please keep reading to see what I snagged at this year’s Spring VIB Sale.Read More
As a beauty blogger and makeup lover, I spend the majority of my time reading about, watching videos on, and playing with makeup. Simply put: I live for it.
However, this particular hobby can get quite expensive because buying new makeup is expensive. Although I wouldn’t consider myself a gullible shopper, beauty influencers play a big role in influencing what I buy. Please keep reading to see what *recent* products beauty gurus made me buy.Read More
At the close of 2018, I had every intention of doing a yearlong cosmetic No-Buy. Having successfully completed a 6 month No Buy in years past, I felt like this challenge would be doable for me. However, the more I thought about doing a yearlong No Buy, the more anxious I became about my spending… I started to spend uncontrollably, constantly buying new beauty products online. Essentially, I was on a beauty binge that lasted for roughly 2.5 months.
As a result of my reckless spending this Fall and this Winter, I’ve decided to put myself on a three-month long No-Buy. My No-Buy started on February 11th and will run through May 11th.Read More

If you like beauty and you like drama… then this Beautycon NYC 2019 Recap is 100% for you! This year’s event was full of awesome moments, but unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t live up to the hype that was promised online. I can’t lie – I am bummed that I missed out the the Melt Cosmetics Gemini Palette. The color scheme is the perfect combination of warm browns and grungy greens. Leave it to Melt to make beauty lovers worldwide lust after pukey green and brown colors.
The Gemini Palette helped to start the wave of green-hued palettes that we’re currently seeing in the market. As a result, there are quite a few ways to dupe this palette with single shadows or shadows in other pre-made palettes… for much less!
Please keep reading to see how I created a dupe palette for the Melt Cosmetics Gemini Palette.Read More
If you follow me on Twitter, then you may have seen that there was drama surrounding this year’s Hauler bag at Beautycon NYC 2019. To summarize everything in the simplest terms possible, people were highly disappointed at this year’s Hauler Bag (Freebie bag) because (1) the bag had barely any product in it when compared to previous years and (2) many of us actually received bags that were only half-full. Although Beautycon tried to rectify the latter issue, I still did not receive everything that my friend did and others were so disappointed that they didn’t come back to swap out their bag.
Nevertheless, between the hauler bag, the free samples from exhibiting brands, and the purchases I made at the event, I actually came home with a ton of products! As always, I don’t share posts with the intention to brag…personally, I like watching or reading this type of content because I genuinely love beauty and I’m just curious to see what is out on the market. If you’re like me, then please keep reading.Read More
