Huge Seed Beauty Fourth of July Haul August 10, 2019
When Kylie Cosmetics first came onto the scene in 2015 and KKW Beauty launched in 2017 I was super skeptical. In fact, I vowed never to purchase from the brands. However, I eventually ate my own words. In today’s post, I’m sharing my huge Seed Beauty Fourth of July Haul
A Little Backstory before my Huge Seed Beauty Fourth of July Haul
Since the early 2010s, I’ve gone back and forth with my feelings on celebrity-founded makeup brands. In fact, I even wrote an entire post dedicated to discussing the rise of celebrity makeup brands.
However, in 2018, I became a Kylie Cosmetics convert after playing with some of the brand’s products at her Beautycon L.A. pop-up truck. Moreover, after hearing positive reviews from trusted makeup influencers, I became even more intrigued. Soon after, my curiosity took over and I decided to give KKW Beauty a try.
This past July, the holiday sales drove me a little nuts. Needless to say, I snagged a ton of goodies from ColourPop, Kylie Cosmetics, and KKW Beauty, three of the largest brands manufactured by Seed Beauty. Please keep reading if you’re interested in seeing what I picked up during my huge Seed Beauty Fourth of July Haul.
P.S. All Seed Beauty products are manufactured in the United States. Also, they are 100% Cruelty-Free. Therefore, I will not be indicating the CF status next to each product like I normally do.
ColourPop Cosmetics
Initially, I wasn’t planning to purchase anything during the brand’s 30% Off Flash Sale. However I eventually caved and picked up a ton of stuff during the brand’s 25% Off Fourth of July Sale after experiencing FOMO when coveted releases sold out.

Glitterally Obsessed Trio, Peony Blush + Lite Stix, Sunshine State Super Shock Shadow Bundle & Creme Color Pots
Blush & Lite Stix Bundle in Peony for Your Thoughts | $22.00 (now discontinued)
To be completely transparent, when the Blush & Lite Stix initially dropped, I struggled to select only one bundle to purchase. In fact, I wanted to purchase nearly all the bundles – and a part of me was genuinely considering doing that. However, I held back.
During the Fourth of July Sale, I picked up the Peony for Your Thoughts Bundle (now discontinued). I reasoned that this pinky-coral blush trio was unlike the other blushes in my collection.
Sale Price: $16.50
Creme Gel Colors in Best O, Get Paid, Prance | $6.50 (these shades now discontinued)
Earlier this year ColourPop relaunched and repackaged their Creme Gel Color pot liners. Again, I wanted to purchase the entire collection. However, I decided to hold off and restrain myself.
During the sale, I picked up three shades that were unique to my collection – Best O, Get Paid, and Prance (now discontinued). I’d be lying if I failed to mention how frustrating it is that ColourPop discontinues products within a year of launching them.
Sale Price: $4.88
Glitter Gel – Star Gazing Mini Trio | $12.00 (now discontinued)
Although I’ve never tried any of the Glitter Gels from ColourPop, I’ve always been intrigued. The sale provided me with the opportunity to try a few varieties within the line at a discounted price.
Sale Price: $9.00
Sunshine State Super Shock Shadow Bundle | $18.00 (now discontinued)
The Sunshine State Super Shock Shadow Bundle immediately caught my attention due to the quad’s vibrant, rich yellow and golden tones. Given that I own 50+ Super Shock Shadows, y’all know that I never need an excuse to buy more.
Sale Price: $13.50
And if this haul didn’t already seem crazy enough, I actually placed two additional ColourPop orders during the month of July.
ColourPop Summer Release Roundup
During my initial Seed Beauty Fourth of July Haul, many of the items I set my sights on purchasing were out of stock. These items included, all of the Monochromatic ColourPop Palettes. Therefore, I jumped at the chance to pick up some of the newest colors.
Although these items were not on sale, I used an influencer’s affiliate code to make these purchases. As a result, I saved 10%.

L-R: Guava Have It Lip Tint Duo, Main Squeeze Eyeshadow Palette, Uh-Huh Honey Eyeshadow Palette
Uh-Huh Honey Eyeshadow Palette | $12.00
The Uh-Huh Honey Eyeshadow Palette is one of the most hyped releases of the summer, loved by both influencers and consumers, alike. I’m stoked to try this palette out. [P.S. See where this palette landed in my ColourPop Palette ranking.]
Sale Price: $10.80
Main Squeeze Eyeshadow Palette | $12.00
To be honest, when the Main Squeeze Eyeshadow Palette first released, I had little interest in it. However, after seeing a lot of great reviews and seeing the love that some of my friends had for this palette, I decided to give it a try. Read this post to help you figure out how to find the right Monochromatic ColourPop palette for you!
Sale Price: $10.80
Guava Have It Lippie Tint Duo | $12.00 (now discontinued)
This summer ColourPop released their new line of Lip Tints. I struggled to pick which shades that I wanted to order. Ultimately, I ordered the Guava Have It Lip Tint Duo because the colors were radically different from the tons of neutrals that I owned. That being said, I rarely reach for these lip tints because the colors turned out way different from what I expected. See the swatches of these lip tins in my bold lipstick ranking.
Sale Price: $10.80

Sol Body Kabuki Brush & Soft Gold Dry Body Oil
Sol Dry Body Oil in Soft Gold | $15.00
Given that I’ve been stuck indoors all summer, I could use a good body oil to give my skin a radiant-looking glow. The Sol Dry Body Oil promises to provide a soft gold shimmering glow at an affordable price tag. I’m excited to compare this to my body oils from Bali and Sol de Janeiro. Read my in-depth review on the Sol Body Dry Body Oil in Soft Gold.
Sale Price: $13.50
Sol Body Kabuki | $12.00
In an attempt to make application of the Soft Gold Dry Oil easier, I picked up the Body Kabuki brush. I’m excited to see how both products work together and how this brush works with my other body oils.
Sale Price: $10.80
ColourPop x Halo Top Limited Edition Collection
To celebrate National Ice Cream Day, ColourPop launched a limited-edition collection in partnership with Halo Top. Although the collection consisted of four super shock shadow bundles, I only picked up the Mint Chip & Strawberry bundles because these are unique colors to my collection.

ColourPop x Halo Top Strawberry & Mint Chip Super Shock Shadow Duos
Halo Top Mint Chip Super Shock Shadow Duo | $12.00 (now discontinued)
At the time this bundle was released, I owned very few green shadows. Also, I owned next to no green Super Shock Shadows. Therefore, I was very drawn the Mint Chip Super Shock Shadow duo (now discontinued).
Sale Price: $10.80
Halo Top Strawberry Super Shock Shadow Duo | $12.00
(now discontinued)
Similar to the Mint Chip Duo, the Strawberry Duo (now discontinued) appealed to me due to the color gaps in my collection. At the time, I owned very few shimmery shades – particularly in the Super Shock formula.
Sale Price: $10.80
Are you obsessed with ColourPop Super Shock Shadows? Check out my review on the ColourPop Double Rainbow bundle.
Large Pink Desert Empty Palette | $10.00 (now discontinued)
I hate paying to ship and I’m always in need of extra blank palettes, so I added the Large Pink Desert Palette to my order. Although this particular palette is discontinued, check out the currently available empty palettes here.
Sale Price: $9.00

KKW Beauty – Fourth of July Haul
At 3:00 PM EST on July 4th, KKW Beauty dropped a surprise sale where customers could receive $10-30.00 off their purchase PLUS a free gift with purchase.

KKW Beauty Best of Pink Lipsticks, Flashing Lights Pressed Powder Single in Freaky, and Liquid Concealer
Best of Pink Lipsticks Bundle | $65.00
Lately, I’ve been on a major lippie kick and I found myself very attracted to the Best of Pink Lipsticks Bundle from KKW due to the shade variety and minimalist packaging. See where these landed in my MLBB, Brown, and Pink lipstick ranking.
Creme Contour Stick in Light 1 | $18.00
Kim Kardashian and her makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic, helped to bring contouring to the forefront of mainstream American beauty trends. How could I not try a KKW contouring product? I grabbed the shade Light 1. Read my in-depth review on the KKW Cream Contour Stick or see where it landed in my bronzer ranking.
Sale Price: Free
Flashing Lights Pressed Powder Single in Freaky | $21.00
When I placed my order online I was in such a frenzied state. First, I didn’t realize there was going to be a surprise sale. Second, I was afraid that my shade in the liquid concealers would quickly run out of stock. As result, I forgot to add the free product to my cart.
However, when I realized that I made a mistake, I quickly reached out to the KKW customer service. I am thrilled to say that the KKW team responded to my inquiry quickly and politely. Also, they allowed me to retroactively add the freebie to my cart.
I chose to receive one of the Flashing Lights Pressed Powder Singles in the shade Freaky. However, as of 2019, I decluttered this single shadow.
Sale Price: Free
Liquid Concealer – 3 Fair Light | $18.00
In complete honesty, I seriously contemplated picking up one of the concealer kits. However, I decided to “edit” myself (LOL). My makeup obsessed brain was able to rationalize that I did not need any new tools or setting powders.
In the end, I grabbed the Liquid Concealer in the shade 3 Fair Light. Initially, I was afraid that the shade would be too light for me. However, this works well as a brightening concealer for the under eye or T-zone.
Sale Price: $6.00
Kylie Cosmetics – Fourth of July Haul
On Fourth of July, Kylie Cosmetics ran a 20% off Sale. Also, some items were available at an even steeper discount. Given that Kylie Cosmetics makes one of my favorite lip liner formulas, I knew I had to shop the sale.

Kylie Cosmetics Lip Liners (Koko K, 22, Coconut, Mary Jo K) and Kybrow Pomade in Medium Brown
Kybrows – Brow Pomade in Medium Brown | $16.00
Even though I don’t love an overly polished or perfected brow, I would like a little more definition in my brows. Having owned and decluttered prestige pomades, I wanted to try a more affordable option. So far, I’ve heard great things about the Kybrows Pomade so I’m excited to give this a try. Check out my brow product collection.
Sale Price: $12.60
Lip Liners in 22, Coconut, Koko K, Mary Jo K | $12.00
(now discontinued)
The Kylie Cosmetics Lip Liners are creamy, pigmented, long-lasting lip liners that pair well with a variety of lippie formulas. During the Fourth of July Sale, I picked up four shades (22, Coconut, Koko K, Mary Jo K) since the Kylie formula is my current favorite. However, I’m sad to say that these shades have been discontinued.
Sale Price: $8.40 – $9.60

Kylie Cosmetics – Summer 2019 Collection
I don’t normally check for Kylie’s limited edition collections, but when I saw all the beautiful promo photos and swatches on TrendMood, I was immediately entranced. I do want to call out that this collection took a long time to ship out (I didn’t receive a shipping confirmation until I emailed customer service 10 days after placing my order).

Kylie Cosmetics Summer Collection 2019: Under the Sea
Lip Blush Liquid Lipsticks – Bikini Bod & Boss Lady | $16.00 each (now discontinued)
Even though Kylie is known for her liquid lipsticks, I’ve never tried any from the brand. However, when I read about the new Lip Blush formula and saw the new shades I was immediately intrigued.
Needless to say, I ended up loving the formula. It is super similar to the ColourPop’s Blotted Lip Formula. See where the Kylie Lip Blushes landed in my liquid lipstick ranking.
Under the Sea Lipstick Bundle | $17.00 (now discontinued)
I’ve tried Kylie’s creme lipsticks and lip liners and I love them. Therefore, I was stoked to pick up a few more beachy shades from the 2019 Summer Collection. I ended up picking up the bullet lipstick bundle includes the shades Beach Bum (matte), Paradise Please (matte), and Endless Summer (metallic).
Note: I ended up decluttering Endless Summer sometime in 2019 or 2020.
Shimmer Eye Glaze – Night Swim | $20.00 (now discontinued)
The Shimmer Eye Glazes look so stunningly beautiful in the swatch photos that shared online. My eyes were immediately drawn to the bronze shade, Night Swim. I’m excited to incorporate this into my looks and to test out this new release.
Final Thoughts on my Huge Seed Beauty Fourth of July Haul
Seed Beauty manufactures high-quality makeup products that rarely disappoint – whether purchasing from ColourPop, Kylie Cosmetics, or KKW Beauty. Although Kylie Cosmetics and KKW are at a higher price point, chances are high that you’ll like these brands if you enjoy ColourPop.
Seed Beauty understands how to design beautifully packaged products without skimping on quality. Also, they understand how to create excitement and build hype around their new launches.
Editor’s Note – July 2020: As I went back through this post to make edits, I found it excruciating to see just how many of the products I purchased were discontinued. Within less than a year’s time, more than half of all the items I picked up during my huge Seed Beauty Fourth of July Haul have been discontinued.
In hindsight, I regret purchasing so much at one time. Now that these products have been discontinued, I cannot even review them on the blog.

What an amazing haul girl!! These are all stunning stunning products and even more stunning flat lays! I cannot wait to see what you do with these products and your reviews of them all. I didn’t know you had an affiliate link with Colourpop, I would’ve used it if I knew. Please create a makeup collection series on here because I need to see all you own! You could do a collection of each brand? YOUR COLOURPOP COLLECTION WOULD BE A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT!
Alex xx
Omg now worries – it’s just a $5.00 off you’re first order! I will try to work on a makeup collection series but I’m not sure if I should break it up by brand or by category (like lipgloss, bronzer, etc). I’m leaning towards going by category since then I could rank everything, but I’m not sure yet!
I do have an old post where I show my CP collection but it’s expanded pretty vastly since then! 🙈🙈🙈🙈
Yeah that’s fair enough, I can’t wait to see it and how you execute the series! I think it’s a great idea to rank them!
Aw thanks, girl! <3 I'm working on blushes first because that is one of my smaller categories, BUT I will do separate posts for maybe my ColourPop Palettes & ABH Palettes since I own a good deal from those two brands. <3
Yesss cannot wait!!
What a fabulous haul! I want to try KKW beauty x
So far I like KKW, but I wish they offered free shipping!
That’s the main reason I haven’t ordered from the brand yet! Such a shame :/
another haul! Love it!
This haul is amazing!!! I looooove it!!

Honestly, sometimes I feel like ColourPop is taking over the world lol. They launch SOOOOO many things so quickly – it is hard to keep up! KKW is Kim K’s brand lol and TBH I totally was skeptical at first, but so far, I actually have been enjoying the brand. Kinda makes sense given ColourPop manufactures the KKW & Kylie products.
What a fabulous haul! I’ve always been so curious to try cosmetics from Kylie’s line – maybe someday!

I was so skeptical at first, but I do enjoy many of her lip products!! Not sure if you’re based in the US, but Ulta carries a lot from her line now! 🙂
I always enjoy your blog! I’ve nominated you for The Special Blogger Award!
Thank you so much for the nomination! 💜 Just left you a comment on your post.
I feel you when you say never and end up doing it. WHOOPS! I love that you got such a great deal with the ColourPop goods! It is always nice to save some money while still enjoying yourself. I haven’t tried KKW products before but glad they have been working out for you so far! I like that these products are super affordable as well. Thanks for sharing your haul!!
Nancy ♥ exquisitely.me
These def are more affordable brands and they do have good customer service, which is so important for online brands like this.
The CP Blush & Lite Stix bundle looks so pretty & elegant! ALL of the SSS you chose are really popping out to me, too! The Sunshine State Bundle is just perfect & I am swooning over the Halo Top ones!
I would love to try KKW! Her packaging is soso chic! Really nice to know their customer service is good, too– awesome they still let you get your freebie!
Thanks for sharing your purchases with us. Always so fun to see what you chose & why! ♡
The CP Blush and Lite Stix are def a fun little trio, as are the SSS! I really just love the SSS formula – unique, but super fun! I was really pleased with the KKW customer service because I didn’t know what to expect from the brand, but I’m glad to report that they were helpful and responsive!
LOL this month’s Low Buy recap will hopefully be my last haul for sometime (where I’m spending my own money).
