A Blogger Made Me Buy It

A Blogger Made Me Buy It | Beauty Edition

As a beauty addict, I never need an excuse to shop.  As a beauty addict with talented beauty blogging friends, I’m constantly inspired to try new goodies.

Today’s post is all about, A Blogger Made Me Buy It. Please keep reading for a mini list of beauty products that a blogger influenced me to buy.

A Blogger Made Me Buy It

Kate @ Kate Days a Week | Vichy – Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid + 15 Mineral-Rich Water

When I read Kate’s review of the Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid I knew that I needed to try this product. I love using hydrating serums as a mixing medium when applying other exfoliating facial serums.

When my B-Hydra Serum finally ran out, I decided to pick up the Vichy serum at the drugstore. I enjoyed using this serum in conjunction with other exfoliating and brightening serums.

Simone @ Beautymone | Kylie Cosmetics – Kybrows Brow Pomade in Medium Brown

If you’re ever looking for honest thoughts on a Kylie Cosmetics or KKW release, Simone is definitely the person to ask. She has tried so many releases from the two Kardashian-Jenner brands.

After reading Simone’s review of the Kylie Cosmetics Kybrow Kits, I was intrigued to try one of the new brow products. Kylie’s Fourth of July Sale provided an awesome opportunity to pick up the Kybrow Pomade at a discount!

Simone @ Beautymone | Bali Body BB Cream & Body Oil

Australia is a country that holds a very special place in my heart. I’m immediately interested whenever I find out at a story or a brand is based out of Australia.

When I read Simone’s glowing review of the Bali Beauty BB Cream and Shimmering Body Oil I knew I had to try this brand. After realizing Bali Body is sold at Ulta, I picked up the BB Cream and Tanning Body Oil during a sale.

A Blogger Made Me Buy It | ColourPop Guava Have It Lippie Tint Duo, Main Squeeze and Uh-Huh Honey Eyeshadow Palettes
ColourPop Guava Have It Lippie Tint Duo, Main Squeeze and Uh-Huh Honey Eyeshadow Palettes

Tayler @ Tayler’s Edit | ColourPop  – Main Squeeze Eyeshadow Palette

Tayler is the queen of colorful, MOOTD Flat Lays on Instagram. There are quite a few palettes she’s made me want to try.

The ColourPop Main Squeeze Palette is a palette I purchased after seeing it pop up on her IG feed. When the Main Squeeze Eyeshadow Palette first launched, I had very little interest in it, but I’ve clearly had a big change of heart after seeing it featured on her page!

Are you ColourPop obsessed or just discovering the brand? Check out my reviews of the ColourPop Sweet Talk Eyeshadow Palette, ColourPop x iLuvSarahii Through My Eyes Eyeshadow Palette, ColourPop Double Rainbow Super Shock Shadow Kit, and the entire ColourPop x Disney Villains Collection.

Thinking of ordering from ColourPop for the first time? Please consider using my referral link for $5.00 off your first order. If you make a purchase, I’ll also receive $5.00 off my next purchase. Please note, I’ve purchased all of the aforementioned items.

A Blogger Made Me Buy It – Final Thoughts

Being a part of the beauty blogger community on WordPress, Twitter, and Instagram has been so fun. It gives me a chance to build friendships with other beauty-obsessed individuals who love to talk about makeup.

Although I love finding new products through my favorite influencers on Instagram and YouTube, being inspired to try new products that a blogger recommended feels entirely different. In many ways, it feels like I’m buying a product that a friend IRL  recommended. Moreover, I love supporting other small content creators like myself. In many cases, I’m glad a beauty blogger made me buy it.

  1. It’s great to try and discover fab new products, especially when they’re recommended by people you respect and trust. Vichy mineral 89 is one of my favourite products – my skin is always more hydrated when I use it x

  2. I LOVE this idea girl! There’s so many people that have made me buy certain things too! I love that you find people who’s opinion you trust and you usually find things which you wouldn’t have thought of in the first place! Amazing post as usual my love.

      1. Haha that’s fair enough, peoples love for things definitely influence me massively. I want to find the feeling that people have when they have a product they love!

  3. I bought some cloth menstrual pads. I’ve been meaning to for a long time and finally pulled the trigger when a blog post recommending a certain brand popped up. I’m so happy with them!

  4. Oh shit, I’m a bad influence lol! At the same time, I’m happy to see you trust my opinion enough to try the products I recommend. What a lovely blogpost!

    1. LOLOLOL – I def trust your reviews, girl! This was a fun post to write. I almost included a section of items a blogger made me want to buy…. maybe I will hahahah. You already know your name will pop up if I do that!

  5. What a fun post! I love being part of the beauty community on WP, too. It totally is like picking up a friend’s recommendation. 🙂 Your disclaimer at the end made me giggle but it’s so true lol.

Recently, I bought the Thayers Witch Hazel Toner because of my friend Rossy at AyRGalaxy. It has been life-changing!

    1. haha I need to work on a volume II of this post…. you may or may not have convinced me to give beauty subscription boxes a try again lol! Earlier this month I signed up for Boxycharm. I really tried to compare Ipsy (plus?glam?) vs. Boxycharm and went with Boxycharm.

      1. Oh my gosh, I’m so excited!! I can’t wait to see what you get. 😀 I keep cancelling Boxycharm but it’s always too good to stay away forever LOL.

      2. LMAO I’m supposed to be getting my box at the end of this week, so I’m excited. I saw some spoilers and at first I was salty because everyone is getting a Dose of Colors 5-pan or 6-pan palette and I own 3 out of the 6 that they have…. but in my spoiler I saw that I’m getting one of the variations that I don’t own (thank goodness).

BUT I was charged for September, but the box and my free goodie never arrived so I’m a little suspicious. We’ll see how it turns out since I’ve already emailed customer service lol!

      3. Oh my gosh, I hope you like the DOC formula. That’s so perfect that you’ll be getting one you don’t have. Phew!!

Boxycharm is so shady sometimes. I sure hope they get your money back to you or fix the situation somehow. I heard they just give “Charm Room” points sometimes!
