20 in 2020 Project Pan Introduction February 9, 2020
In 2019, I started on a mission to be more transparent about my beauty buying habits. I meticulously tracked the items that were coming in and out of my collection using my beauty inventory. At the end of every season, I rounded up my beauty empties and decluttered beauty products. However, my collection still kept expanding. In today’s post, I’m sharing my 20 in 2020 Project Pan Introduction, as well as my motivation for finishing up makeup.

Why Am I Doing This Project?
As I’ve learned over the last two years tracking my beauty empties, I am excellent at working through skincare and hair care products. However, makeup products are much harder for me to finish. With my 20 in 2020 Project Pan project, my aim is to finish 20 beauty products before the end of the year.
Although I’ve included a few minis in my this 20 in 2020 Project Pan introduction, my hope is use up full size makeup products. Obviously, minis are easier to use up than full-size products.

Final Thoughts on my 20 in 2020 Project Pan Introduction
Within my 20 in 2020 Project Pan introduction, I included a mix of products that I anticipate will be easy to finish as well as products that will be more difficult. By including this mix of products, I’ll stay motivated to keep working on the hard to finish products.
Obviously, I did not include any mascaras, powder eyeshadow, or powder cheek products. I will naturally finish mascaras throughout the year. In contrast, powder eyeshadow and cheek products are considerably more difficult to finish in a calendar year.

Even though I’m working hard on panning products, I didn’t really set a goal or decided which products I want to pan. This is obviously not motivating so I think I’m going to do this too and maybe even write a post about it to keep myself more accountable!
I also really want to join a challenge for panning an eyeshadow palette.
Thanks for inspiring me once again!!
Honestly, I hadn’t done a specific “project” like this in a few years, but I felt like it was time because it keeps me way more motivated to regularly use things. However, I’m realizing finishing the lip products is going to be a major challenge… in part because I keep misplacing them lmao!
I’ve been thinking whether to do a project pan myself and maybe I will now you are🤔 20 in 2020 could be a good idea for me to work on things. I’ll have a think about it. I love these posts and I can’t wait to see how well you do with it!

Thanks girl! I’ve loved reading your makeup basket posts because it serves as a reminder to me that I need to do a better job at rotating items in my collection to make sure that everything is receiving an adequate amount of love!
So far I’m really enjoying this project more than I thought I would have initially.
I’m so hit and miss when it comes to makeup, some things I finish in what feels like no time at all and others seem to last forever no matter how much I’m trying to use them! I haven’t set myself an official project pan goals for this year but I am trying to finish a few foundations off soon x

I experience very similar results when it comes to finishing makeup. Some items really do get used up so quickly while others seem bottomless lol!
Great idea setting a goal to hit pan on only these select products that are both easy and hard to use! Good luck with your project pan this year!
Thank you so much!!
I have to say, I’m a fan of Urban Decay products myself – I was glad to see they made it in your list!
UD used to be one of my favorite brands, so I’m really excited to finish up this spray!
This is a really cool post and interesting to hear about your panning goals. I own the All Nighter Setting Spray and the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb, although I can’t see me finishing them off this year. Good luck with your project pan this year! It’s great to see you setting goals for yourself and I think it’s a great habit to get into. I should probably try and hit pan with some of my eyeshadow palettes because I own far too many lol
Thanks girl! I really, really hope that I can finish up everything included in this roundup and more!! Some things are already proving to be tricky, but hoping for the best.
This was fun to read, LP, and I’m excited to see your progress. I sometimes breeze right through products and then others take forever. Good luck with your goals this year! ♥️
Thanks so much for the good luck wishes – I’m hoping that I’ll get some of these hard to use items out of my collection eventually!!
Thank you so much for the well wishes with this project!
Urban Decay used to be one of my favorite brands for a long time, so I’m excited to finish up this spray!
This is really great idea good luck!!
