7 Deadly Sins of Makeup Tag Questions

Please keep reading for my answers to the 7 Deadly Sins of Makeup Tag to find out which products I have a love-hate relationship with or what features I find attractive in the opposite sex.

Greed: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

Over the last few years, I received tons of dope free deluxe samples. Although those deluxe samples are free, my least expensive products are my e.l.f. Bite Size Palettes. These quads retail for $3.00.

At $125.00, my Pat McGrath x Star Wars Decadence Palette is the most expensive item in my beauty collection. Although Pat McGrath palettes are expensive, the quality of the shadows and the experience of using the palette is worthwhile.

Wrath: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

The Pat McGrath Nocturnal Nirvana Blitz Astral Quad is one of the most beautiful products in my collection. However, it will forever be tainted by my bad experience ordering the quad.

On the first day of Pat McGrath’s killer 2019 Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale, I ordered the Nocturnal Nirvana Quad. A few days later, the quad eventually sold out. Despite ordering the quad at the start of the sale, it was removed from my final order.

By the time I was notified, my only options for ordering the Nocturnal Nirvana Quad were Poshmark and Selfridges. On Poshmark, sellers were listing their quads at extortionate prices – $180.00 or higher (i.e. 3X higher than the original price, 4X higher than the sale price).

In the end, I paid for $30.00 shipping and ordered the quad from Selfridges. THEN a week or so later, the quad came back to Sephora.

Gluttony: What are your most DELICIOUS beauty products?

My Sol de Janeiro Body Mists are my most delicious beauty products. I own the Brazilian Crush* and Coco Cabana mists. They are long-lasting, tropical scents that add a light fragrance to the body without being overpowering.

Honorable Mention: The Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer* smells buttery and delightful, too.

Sloth: What beauty products do you neglect due to laziness?

Prior to my 20 in 2020 Project Pan, I tended to neglect my creme and liquid blushes, bronzers, and highlighters due to laziness. Using a creme product often takes more time and effort to apply than its powder counterpart. As someone with oily skin, I need to set my cremes with powders to lock them in place all day.

Pride: What beauty product gives you the most self-confidence?

Foundation. As someone with oily, textured skin, foundation is key to my beauty routine. Even from an application standpoint, I typically apply my base first and then my eye makeup. I would rather have bright, even looking skin than do an elaborate eye look.

Lust: What attributes do you find attractive in the opposite sex?

My eyes are such a dark shade of brown that they are nearly black. As such, I am instantly drawn to men with light-colored eyes – blue, green, or hazel. Longer, thick, curly hair is also very eye-catching.

Envy: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

Believe it or not, I do not always seek to receive makeup as a gift. However, I am dying to receive new ring lights or backdrops for photography purposes.

Final Thoughts on the 7 Deadly Sins of Makeup Tag

The 7 Deadly sins of Makeup Tag was an interesting take on a traditional beauty tag. Although I do not feel shame in buying expensive things, I still feel a lot of shame in regards to my beauty spending habits, overall.

Also, the fifth question reminded me of how much bullying can stick with you even as an adult. Although I still get an occasional breakout, my acne is not as severe as it was when I was younger. Yet, I still feel the burden of past bullying. So dear friends, please remember to be kind to those with acne (and teach your children to do the same).
