Revisiting my $1000 Dream Sephora Haul March 16, 2021
In 2020 I participated in the popular $1000 Dream Sephora Haul tag where I shared the products I’d place in a dream basket if I had $1,000 to spend on a shopping spree at Sephora. In today’s post, I though it would be fun to spend some time revisiting my $1000 Dream Sephora Haul to discuss wha products I’ve purchased, what I no longer want, and what I’m still longing to own.
Revisiting My $1000 Dream Sephora Haul Tag
Long-time beauty YouTuber, Emily Noel created the $1000 Dream Sephora Haul tag in June. Click here to watch her original video. However, I came a cross the video when my Samantha March shared her take on this popular tag. As a makeup lover, I knew I needed to participate in this fun tag with two of my best blogging friends, Simone and Mimi.
Months after revisiting my $1000 Dream Sephora Haul Tag post, what have I purchased, passed on, and long to own? Keep reading to find out.

Over the summer I was finally able to get my hands on the Honey Potion Mask during one of the brand’s 25% off sale. Given my struggles with eczema and sensitivity I knew this would be a great product to keep on hand for particularly bad flare ups. Read my review of IOPE’s Derma Gentle Cica Cream for my thoughts on another go-to skincare staple when my skin is sensitized.

Product Description:
The Peach Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm is a cushiony, peach-flavored lip balm that delivers nonstop 24-hour moisture and a smooth natural shine. – Fresh Beauty
Haul Status: Passed
Fresh is one of the few brands that I consistently repurchase from every year. The Soy Face Cleanser and Advanced Lip Therapy Treatment are two of my holy grail skincare products. With that said, the Sugar Hydrating Lip Balms fell off my list. While I’m sure these balms are lovely, I am the *not so proud* owner of 20+ lip balms that I need to work through before I even consider buying another balm.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist | $28.00, CF

That being said, if I experience a particularly bad flare up in the future, I could easily purchase this targeted skin fix.

Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana Body Cream | $45.00, CF
Product Description:
The Coco Cabana Body Cream is a superior, moisture-plush oil-in-water body cream that instantly hydrates and soothes for soft, bouncy skin. – Sephora
Haul Status: Passed
I am STILL a Coco Cabana apologist. However, I own far too many moisturizers to consider purchasing this Sol de Janeiro classic at this time. Maybe I’ll purchase this cream in the future, but I need to finish most of what I already own first.

Prepare to want more and more. – Sephora
Haul Status: Passed
Technically I attempted to purchase the SOL Cheirosa ’62 Eau de Parfum during a Sephora at JCP online pricing glitch. However, the order was never processed, so I never received the product. With that said, I’ve heard that the scent of this perfume isn’t long lasting. With this in mind, I’ll keep to my Brazilian Crush Body Mist.

The Tatcha Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser is daily gel cleanser with natural fruit exfoliant that thoroughly but gently lifts impurities and unclogs pores while leaving skin soft and hydrated. – Sephora

Haul Status: Purchased
During a horrifyingly bad eczema flare up in 2020 I picked up a full-size of the S.O.S. Save Our Skin Rescue Facial Spray at my local Sephora. All I can say is that this spray fully lives up to the hype. It helped to calm and repair my itchy, angry skin.
With the above said, this is the ONLY product featured in this round up revisiting my $1,000 Dream Sephora Haul that I purchased at full price. In fact, this is the only product featured in this roundup that I purchased multiple times.

Final Thoughts on Revisiting my $1000 Dream Sephora Haul
When I set out with the intention of revisiting my $1000 Dream Sephora Haul, I thought I was going to look like a major clown who purchased nearly everything on her wish list. However, I was quite happy to see that I passed on or held off purchasing most of the items in this list. In total, I spent less than $200 of my own dollars to purchase items featured on this wish list.
Obviously, my total would have been higher had I not received the $100 Rouge Reward. However, it is possible that I may not have purchased the 3 items I grabbed for free. Of the 19 products included in this post revisiting my $1000 Dream Sephora Haul, I purchased 6 products and received 4 for free due to my Sephora Rouge standing.

Have you every done a post about how you organize and store all your makeup and brushes? I’m just wondering, because as I read this, I’m thinking… wow! This is a ton of stuff and you must have so much. I wonder how you keep it all sorted? It’d be interesting to me to know. Just curious.
This is such a fun post, LP! I love seeing what you purchased and what held up. I bought a Dyson in the last year, and I don’t regret it a bit even though I’m probably still paying for it. My hair holds water and the quick dry alone is worth it. Also, I have a Dyson vac that is 16 years old and works like new. Love their stuff.
I need to revisit mine too but in all honestly, most of my list was CT stuff that ended up arriving in Italy a couple of days after the post came out. I put a few of her kits in the post but I ended up buying the products singularly in what I like the call the “Mimi makes a CT order every week” month aka October. I also feel like my preferences change so often some of the products I wanted back then aren’t in my radar anymore which makes me happy that I haven’t bought them in the end.
Ahh, I remember reading your $1,000 Sephora haul post. I love that you did an update and OMG I am also so proud of you. Under $200 is super impressive. I honestly expected you to buy more products, haha. I love the products you decided to get!
