Spoiler alert: I am embarking on a total Beauty No Buy in an effort to curb my hyper consumerist tendencies. I need to stop relying on buying this to ease my sadness, stress, or anxiety. More details on my No Buy will be shared in an upcoming post. Knowing that I was about to start a No Buy, I "panic" purchased a ton of beauty products during the month of September. While I shared most of what I purchased in last month's Low Buy Haul update, not all the items I ordered arrived.
Despite behind a diehard drug store beauty fan, I came to the recent realization that I don't actually talk about affordable beauty enough on my blog (outside of ColourPop). Although ColourPop is inexpensive, there aren't as easily accessible as "traditional" drugstore brands given that purchases don't qualify for free US shipping if they are under $30.00 USD. Recently, I snagged a few affordable drugstore goodies from Target and CVS Health that I am stoked to be sharing with you! Nearly everything I grabbed is from a brand that I've yet to try, so I'm excited to see how these will perform.
Let me level with you: I've had my online shopping cart ready since March... in anticipation for the Spring Sale. To be fair, I've had quite a lot of time to plan out my purchases (no impulse buys here) AND I have a few gift cards that have been burning a hole in my pocket. However, this will (hopefully) be my last haul until my birthday in the Fall because my spending has been out of control all year. Please keep reading to see what I snagged at this year's Spring VIB Sale.
If you follow me on Twitter, then you may have seen that there was drama surrounding this year's Hauler bag at Beautycon NYC 2019. To summarize everything in the simplest terms possible, people were highly disappointed at this year's Hauler Bag (Freebie bag) because (1) the bag had barely any product in it when compared to previous years and (2) many of us actually received bags that were only half-full. Although Beautycon tried to rectify the latter issue, I still did not receive everything that my friend did and others were so disappointed that they didn't come back to swap out their bag. Nevertheless, between the hauler bag, the free samples from exhibiting brands, and the purchases I made at the event, I actually came home with a ton of products! As always, I don't share posts with the intention to brag...personally, I like watching or reading this type of content because I genuinely love beauty and I'm just curious to see what is out on the market. If you're like me, then please keep reading.
During my most recent trip to LA, I created my own bespoke lipsticks at the Bite Beauty Lip Lab in Larchmont. As a beauty lover and fan of the brand, I was dying to create my own custom lipstick. Fun fact: I booked my appointment at the Lip Lab before I even booked my plane ticket. Please keep reading to learn more about my experience creating two bespoke lipsticks at the Bite Beauty Lip Lab.

At this point, it should go without saying that I'm a beauty fanatic. The only thing I love more than trying a new beauty product is discovering a new beauty brand. I am a beauty addict. Although I love the beauty industry and I love buying new products, my spending got out of hand the last few years. I've been making a big effort over the last two years to down-size my collection and to stop impulse shopping through meticulous inventory tracking, project panning, and intermittent shopping fasts. If you're interested to see how I did this year, then please keep reading!
