Underrated Beauty YouTubers Vol. #3 | Big YouTubers Who STILL Inspire Me

I love using my blog to shine a light on other creators who inspire me and help to cultivate my love of makeup. In my previous two Underrated Beauty YouTubers posts, I spotlighted some of my favorite small-to-midsize creators.

Today I am spread some love to the larger YouTubers who I continue to watch and support. To me, these are Underrated Beauty YouTubers who still slay at producing high quality content.

Karen, otherwise known as ILuvSarahii, is the smallest creator on this list but one of the influencers who inspires me the most. I mean…have you seen her Instagram???

Of the underrated beauty YouTubers mentioned on this list, Karen is the only one who consistently posts tutorials. I love turning to her channel when I’m in need of some glamorous inspiration and love the tutorials she posts. Her content isn’t review based, which is a nice change.

Karen is the epitome of glamour. Her looks always leave me feeling inspired to create or to try something new. Don’t believe me? Check out the below video where she flawlessly recreates Kim Kardashian’s iconic Met Gala look.

Jackie Aina

Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie Jackie. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve loved seeing Jackie‘s channel flourish and grow over the years. Seeing her grow from less than 500K to over 3MM subscribers has been a wondrous thing to watch.

Jackie is charismatic and engaging. Beyond her personality, she uses her platform to shine a light on subject matters that are important to her.ย In the below video, Jackie shines a light on Muslim owned brands and constantly gives shout-outs to other indie and minority owned brands.

Jackie worked with the Cruelty-Free brand, Too Faced, to extend their Born This Way Foundation Line. In 2019, she collaborated on an eyeshadow palette with Anastasia Beverly Hills. Of course I had to have her palette.

Kathleen Lights

Like Jackie, I remember watching KathleenLights when she had less than 1MM subscribers. Her content continues to intrigue me. She inspires many of my purchases because of her honesty. Kathleen remains relatable despite her prominence in the beauty world.

I’ve discovered so many new-to-me brands through her channel and often look out for her reviews before making purchases.ย From ColourPop to Milk Makeup and Glossier, Kathleen’s full-brand reviews provide an awesome insight into a brand’s full line of products. Funnily enough, sometimes her negative reviews will inspire me to try a product, too!

Tati Westbrookย

Tati may be the first “Beauty Guru” that I ever watched. To this day, I still vividly remember watching her baking tutorial in my dorm room. I replayed it and replayed it, desperately trying to follow along.

Over the years, Tati’s channel has grown in size but the quality of her reviews and her content has not wavered. She consistently churns out honest, in-depth reviews and isn’t afraid to share her honest opinions.

Want to learn how to bake or curious on what baking actually means? Check out the below video from Tati where she walks through baking, step-by-step.

P.S. I love how Tati tries everything from the weird and wacky, to drugstore and high end products. She uses her voice to review indie and small brands, too.

Final Thoughts on the Underrated Beauty YouTubers who Inspire Me

Even though I am most inspired by small to mid-size creators on YouTube, I have to give props to the OG YouTubers who paved the way in the community and continue to inspire me today. ย In many ways, these ladies remain underrated Beauty Youtubers.

Each of these talented women have their own unique voices, styles, and way of doing their makeup in a way that inspires my creativity and makes playing with makeup fun. Kathleen and Tati have been able to use their influencer status to launch successful brands!

  1. I have watched about 1 billion trillion hours of Tati at this point!
She just gives the most honest reviews, and watching her and her family can always put me in a good mood ๐Ÿ™‚
I will have to look into these other youtubers too! Looks so interesting

    1. Omg I love Tati so much – she truly is one of the most genuine out there! Plus, Iโ€™ll always have such nostalgic love towards her since she was one of the first people I watched on the platform. ๐Ÿ’œ

I want to try the Halo Beauty Vitamins, and Iโ€™m debating whether I want to try her brand new palette, too!

      1. I have been looking at Both her vitamins and her palette too.๐Ÿค”
The vitamins I think I will Wait with, but The palette i NEED!
She makes so honest reviews and have made Them for years, so I trust she knows whatโ€™s quality and wouldnโ€™t put out anything Thatโ€™s less than perfect๐Ÿ˜

  2. You listed literally all the OG Youtubers I love! I’m not always watching Jackie and Karen but I both really like them and frequently watch a vid. Tati and Kathleen are both Youtubers I watch when they’re having new vids. I also truly love Nicol Concilio a lot (she’s my fave out of all of them). Last but not least, Kendall Alfred is very nice and engaging with her subscribers so I like her a lot too.

    1. Iโ€™ve never heard of Kendall, so Iโ€™ll need to check her out too!! I watch Nicol from time to time, as well! Iโ€™m honestly kicking myself for not including RawBeautyKristi on this list, too!!

  3. Absolutely agree with you there on Tati and Kathleen. They’re both so humble and I feel like no matter how big they’ve gotten they haven’t changed. I find that I can trust them the most as well when looking for advice on products or when I want to watch a review on something, particularly Tati. P.S, after her recent announcement I can’t wait to see what makeup products Tati is going to be coming out with, im sure they’re gonna be amazing!

    1. Omg I couldnโ€™t have said it better – they truly have remained so humble. I feel like so many big YouTubers lose their relatability once they blow up, but KL & Tati still feel so genuine and like themselves.

And OMG Iโ€™ve been going back and forth on the new palette from Tati because I know I donโ€™t need it, but I do want to support her. ๐Ÿ’œ

  4. I love that youโ€™re shining such a positive light into the โ€˜beauty communityโ€™ because it can be such a toxic place sometimes. These youtubers inspire me too massively and I love them all too. Youโ€™ve definitely introduced me to Karen and I love her channel too now! Love this series so much!
    Alex xx

    1. Ah thank you, girl! ๐Ÿ’œ I agree sometimes there can be so much negative energy in the beauty community but I still really love these ladies … whoโ€™ve stayed *relatively* scandal free!

And omg Karen is literally ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿ”ฅ- she is one of my favorites for actually tutorial-based content! ๐Ÿ’œ

  5. You just opened a whole new world for me! YOU are truly BEAUTIFUL inside and out! Keep shining ….. and keep shining your light on others! That just highlights how truly beautiful you are!!! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ๐Ÿงกโค๏ธ
