Hi friends! 💜 It’s so secret that 2020 has been tough on us all, but this last week I was pushed to my limit after losing a beloved pet. 🐶 💔 So, I took some much needed time to myself.

Please know that if it seems like I’ve been ghosting you - it hasn’t been intentional. At points this summer, it’s been a struggle to put on a happy front or to remember dates / deadlines.

During this week’s dip, I found myself staring around my room at all my makeup items. 💄 🛍 Some products purchased during a low period, while some products were purchased during happier times. But it really hit me. ✋ I need to make a change. Shopping shouldn’t be my coping mechanism.

This morning, I spent some time praying. 🙏🏻 Ultimately, I’ve decided that I am going to go on a strict 30-day #nobuy so that I can love the things I already own and have money to spend on experiences that will bring greater joy. 🌈

With that in mind, in today’s post I’m featuring the Kylie Cosmetics Night Swim Eye Glaze from last Summer’s Under the Sea collection. ✨ 🌊 Although this looks like a cream shadow, it feels and applies more likely a flakey, metallic foil.

I’ve always been a huge fan of these lip crayons, so I was excited to grab some new shades earlier this year. These apply provide a soft matte finish, but don’t dry the life out of my lips. 👄

Normally I track my 20 in 2020 progress on my blog, but it’s been a while since I’ve updated y’all on my progress.

To date, I’ve finished 18 products. 👏🏻 👏🏻 However, once June rolled around my progress slowed considerably due my stay-at-home 🏠 blues & my eczema flare up. 🔥

Of the items still in the project for this round, I think it’s totally possible for me to finish at least half the items in this project including both lip glosses, and my lipstick. 💄 💄

Some of the items are a bit of a lost cause, but I’m still going to keep plugging on.

Fun fact: when I first started my blog in 2018, I was too afraid to share my face. 🙈 I was literally a beauty blogger that never showed my face in photos unless it was partially obscured. 🤡 Pretty sure most of y’all thought I was a catfish 😂

Thankfully, I’ve developed more self confidence (and trust) to open up to y’all! The internet can be a scary place, but I’m so grateful to have met so many talented bloggers, vloggers, and Instagrammer’s over the last 3 or so years.

Unlike her traditional lippies, the Lip Blush formula provides a sheer wash of matte pigment that mimics the look of a blotted lip. 👄 The formula is super light-weight and moderately buildable. 💋

Although not as long wearing as a “traditional “ matte liquid lipstick, the formula is considerably more comfortable. ❤️ Formula-wise, the lip blushes are similar to ColourPop’s Lux Liquid Lipsticks.
