Beautycon NYC 2019 | Was it Worth It?

If you like beauty and you like drama… then this Beautycon NYC 2019 Recap is 100% for you! This year’s event was full of awesome moments, but unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t live up to the hype that was promised online. Brand Experiences I can’t lie, I’m still salty that many of the major American…

Melt Cosmetics Gemini Palette Dupe | Get the Look for Less $$

I can’t lie – I am bummed that I missed out the the Melt Cosmetics Gemini Palette. The color scheme is the perfect combination of warm browns and grungy greens. Leave it to Melt to make beauty lovers worldwide lust after pukey green and brown colors.

The Gemini Palette helped to start the wave of green-hued palettes that we’re currently seeing in the market. As a result, there are quite a few ways to dupe this palette with single shadows or shadows in other pre-made palettes… for much less!

Please keep reading to see how I created a dupe palette for the Melt Cosmetics Gemini Palette.

Massive Beautycon NYC 2019 Haul

If you follow me on Twitter, then you may have seen that there was drama surrounding this year’s Hauler bag at Beautycon NYC 2019. To summarize everything in the simplest terms possible, people were highly disappointed at this year’s Hauler Bag (Freebie bag) because (1) the bag had barely any product in it when compared to previous years and (2) many of us actually received bags that were only half-full. Although Beautycon tried to rectify the latter issue, I still did not receive everything that my friend did and others were so disappointed that they didn’t come back to swap out their bag.

Nevertheless, between the hauler bag, the free samples from exhibiting brands, and the purchases I made at the event, I actually came home with a ton of products! As always, I don’t share posts with the intention to brag…personally, I like watching or reading this type of content because I genuinely love beauty and I’m just curious to see what is out on the market. If you’re like me, then please keep reading.

I Decluttered my Living Space Marie Kondo Style: Here’s What Happened

Although I am an avid beauty collector and beauty lover, I’ve been working really hard the past few years to work on the bad shopping habits. I found myself in a state where I was buying too many things just to mask or deal with emotional problems. Feeling anxious? Buy some shoes, snatch that purse, fill your online shopping cart with makeup.

But here’s the thing, filling my life with things wasn’t solving my problems – in many ways, my overconsumption actually made me more miserable, because my money was being spent on things rather than experiences. To make matters worse, I moved into a smaller living space earlier this year. As result, the mass clutter I had tucked away, suddenly became exposed.

Makeup Minimalism | Winter 2019 Beauty Empties (Cosmetics, Skincare, Hair Care)

As a beauty blogger and lover, I’m constantly trying out new cosmetic, skincare and hair care products. However, over the past 2-3 years, I’ve been attempting to reign in my shopping and work through what I own through a comprehensive inventory system, periodic No-Buys, and yearlong Project Pans.

The below products are beauty items that I am happy to have finished over the past 3 months. Although the total number of products finished is not greater than the number of new items that entered my collection, I still view this finished products as a small victory. Please keep reading to see what I used up!
