What can I say? I love new beauty, so many of my birthday gifts this year were beauty related buys from my friends and family. Please keep reading for a recap of all the new beauty items I was gifted this month for my birthday.
I'll admit it: I love reading "get to know me" tags from other bloggers, but they actually scare me. I'm pretty coy when it comes to my personal life, so sharing facts about me can sometimes feel intimidating. Nevertheless, I was elated when the lovely, Sarah, (creator of A Woman's Confidence) tagged me to participate in the "Bet You Didn't Know" Tag. This tag was created by Jenni over at Housewife Hustle. Please keep reading to learn seven random facts about me!
I'm just a tad late here.... but given that I chronicle my beauty buys, I figured I should still share a recap regarding the items that I received within my September 2019 Boxycharm box. Believe it or not, this box actually arrived after my October box... and I'm glad that it did. Keep reading to see what I think of my September 2019 Boxycharm box.
As a beauty-lover, I often feel I pang of guilt at how my unsustainable purchasing patterns and personal care habits are affecting the environment around me - and I'm not alone in my thoughts. Research conducted by the leading market research group, Mintel, indicates that sustainability is a growing concern amongst millennial consumers. But what [...]
Natasha Denona is an unofficial member of BEAUTY'S BIG THREE, a term I affectionally coined for Pat McGrath Labs, Natasha Denona, and Viseart. Each of these brands creates expensive, highly coveted eyeshadow formulas that not only set trends, but are loved by hardcore fans, but abhorred by consumers who didn't feel their products were worth the price tag. Admittedly, I've remained skeptical of Natasha Denona's eyeshadows after having a bad experience with one of the brand's mini 5-pan palettes. However, I wanted to give the brand another chance. When Natasha Denona released the Sunrise Palette, I was immediately drawn in by the beautiful array of warm-tone, sunrise-inspired colors and intrigued by the lower price point. But was this 15-pan palette worth the $65.00 price tag? Please keep reading for an in-depth review of the Natasha Denona Sunrise Palette, complete with swatches, demo looks, and pricing information.
I love using my blog to shine a light on other creators who inspire me and help to cultivate my love of makeup. In my previous two Underrated Beauty YouTubers posts, I spotlighted some of my favorite small-to-midsize creators, but today I wanted to spread some love to the larger YouTubers who I continue to watch and support.
In 2017 when Kim Kardashian launched her beauty line, KKW Beauty, fans and critics were skeptical. Was Kim's new venture a cash grab or would KKW Beauty bring Kim's iconic beauty looks to the masses? In today's post, I am reviewing the KKW Beauty Creme Contour Stick. Does the Queen of Contour's creme contour stick live up to the hype? Does it last on oily skin? Please keep reading for swatches, demos, and wear-time details.
Hi - my name is LP and I love participating in Beauty Tags that no one tagged me in. Of course when I saw my fave, Smokey Glow, participate in the "Not Your Basic Beauty Guru Tag" I knew I had to join in. This tag was started by Agape Love Girl. As a beauty blogger, I've modified some of the questions to fit my little niche on the WWW.
When it comes to everyday beauty staples like eyeliner, eyeshadow primer, mascara, and brow gels, I'd much rather spend my money on affordable products rather than luxury items. Why? With the exception of liquid liner, it is often easy to find basic staples that perform just as well as high end products. However, as someone with oily lids, I could never find an eyeshadow primer, luxury or high end, that I've loved more than Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Urban Decay's game-changing and iconic eyeshadow primer locks makeup into place all day without creasing, cracking, or allowing shadow to fade throughout the day. Despite all of these positives, not everyone has the money to spend $24.00 USD on an eyeshadow primer. In today's Bad or Rad review, we'll be exploring Milani's $7.00 USD Eyeshadow Primer to see if it is a potential dupe for the Urban Decay Primer Potion.
I've been working hard to reign in my spending this year and to stop my beauty collection from expanding beyond control. Although some months have been more successful than others, I've been struggling to reduce my hyper consumerist tendencies. Despite these struggles, I want to keep trying to change my habits. Please keep reading for my latest recap of my first Yearlong Beauty Low-Buy.
