Products a Beauty Blogger Made Me Want February 4, 2020
The beauty community on YouTube and Instagram play a huge role in influencing my purchase decisions, but so do my friends in the blogging community. In today’s post, I’ll be discussing 6 products a beauty blogger made me want to try.
This post contains affiliate links, so I may earn a small commission should you decide to make a purchase. All opinions are my own.
Alex @ AlexandriaKayWrites| Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 ($20.00, CF)
Alex is without a doubt one of the most talented beauty bloggers when it comes to makeup application. When I see the looks she creates on Instagram, I am immediately intrigued by whatever makeup she uses.
Needless to say, after seeing the looks she created with her Nubian 2 Palette, I literally had to remove it from my cart multiple times! Eventually, I purchased this palette late in 2019.
Hunida @ Hunida’s Blog | IPSY Subscription
After following Hunida, I was convinced to give beauty subscription boxes another chance. While I ultimately chose to subscribe to Boxycharm, a part of me still wants to try the Ipsy Glam Bag every single time I see her do an unboxing on her blog.
Kelly @ Glam With Kelly | Pur Cosmetics x Barbie Eyeshadow Palette
Believe it or not, I’ve never tried anything from Pur. When I saw Kelly’s photo of the Pur x Barbie Palette on Instagram, my heart jumped for joy. This palette captures Barbie’s essence with the bright, girly color story. I had to hold back from buying this!

Natasha Denona Camel Palette
Simone @ Beautymone | Natasha Denona – Camel Palette ($48.00, CF)
If it wasn’t apparent from my original post in this series, I trust Simone’s product reviews, so when I read her review on the Natasha Denona Camel Palette I knew my wallet would be crying.
These camel-colored, cool neutral shadows were unique. Even at $48.00, the Camel Palette intrigued me. Eventually, I purchased this palette in the latter half of 2019. Although the Sunrise Palette worked well, the I experienced mixed results using the Camel Palette.

Sigma Beauty Enchanted Palette
Simone @ Beautymone | Sigma Beauty – Enchanted Palette ($49.00, CF)
Funnily enough, when Simone reviewed the Sigma Beauty Enchanted Palette, it did not receive glowing reviews due to the quality of the matte shadows. However, her fla lay on Instagram, as well as the swatches of the metallics, made my heart swoon.
However, I’m fairly certain I own all of the colors in this palette in other Initially I stayed strong and did not buy this… however, this ended up in my Christmas Haul.
Tayler @ Tayler’s Edit | BECCA Cosmetics BFF Face Palette
When the BECCA Cosmetics BFF Face Palette originally released, I didn’t feel a big pull toward this face palette. I’m not a huge Kardashian fan even though I do respect the family’s business hustle.
Whenever Tayler shows this face palette in her feed, I feel so drawn to it. I had to remove this from my cart multiple times when I found it heavily discounted online.

Final Thoughts on the Products a Beauty Blogger Made Me Want to Try
My blogging friends are a great source of beauty inspiration, so it isn’t surprising there are tons of products that a beauty blogger made me want to try in 2019. Often times, their reviews or photos are capable of swaying my thoughts about a particular product or release. Many of the products that a beauty blogger made me want to try were dancing in and out of my cart throughout 2019.
While each item tempted me, this roundup showed me another blatantly obvious fact. I love pre-made eyeshadow and face palettes. However, I need to slow down on purchasing palettes.
Despite lusting after each of these palettes, I need to slow down how frequently I purchase palettes. It is so hard to work through an eyeshadow palette. I need to implement and stick to rules when it comes to palette purchases.

Aw wow thank you L!! I didn’t expect my name to be on here at all, you’re so kind! Isn’t it such a gorgeous palette?! I LOVE it and can’t wait to create more looks with it! I’ve got quite a few things you and Simone have convinced my to buy in my cart for my birthday so we’ll see how it goes!

LOL I hope I am not an enabler/bad influence with spending… still trying to curb that but I think I’m FINALLY making steps in the right direction!!
I am a sucker for palettes too. I just brought the CNY edition of NARS’ quad palette Singapore. Did I need it? Nope. Will I use it, probably not. Which is what I promised myself I wouldn’t do this year. That Pur x Barbie palette looks amazing, luckily it is sold out hahaha!

ah NARS always tempts me so much…. especially when their products end up in outlets… how can I pass them up at such steep discounts??
Ooh the Enchanted Palette looks soooo good!!
It is def a super pretty palette and was a big hit for Sigma this past year!
That palette is gorgeous though! Wow! I know what you mean though. I tend to save my palettes and even when I use them, I’m uneven with my use so then I run out of the ones I loved most.
I think what’s made it hard for me, too, is that now I take so many flat lays so I have a hard time letting go of things that I may want for future photos or that I may want to keep for comparison sake!
This is such a neat post idea! Being around beauty bloggers/YouTubers definitely makes me want to purchase more makeup. There are so many cool brands/products out there, but I’m not exposed to them until I go online. I love the cover of that Sigma Enchanted palette…it looks so pretty! The metallic colors look gorgeous as well.
LOL I’m such a sucker for makeup so when I see others talk about it, I immediately want more lol! BUT I did end up giving some Marvel movies more of a try, too, after reading posts where you spoke highly of them!!
The thing I love about reading blog posts is that you learn about the products the bloggers have tried that have and haven’t worked. Love that there is a wide variety of makeup to try out! Thanks for sharing some of the products you want to try. I feel you about being tempted to buy new makeup!! I am the same – I wanted to buy a limited edition Chanel eyeshadow palette but I already have a relatively new one (even though they’re completely different shades).

I meant to mention this in a previous comment to you, but given your love of luxury cosmetics you might enjoy content/reviews from Mel Thompson, Michelle Wang, and Alicia Archer (who guys by Kinky Sweat on YouTube). They are all huge luxury buyers, but give very in-depth reviews on products! 🙂
Lmao in this case I love to be a bad influence! It’s just so lovely to find new products through fellow (beauty) bloggers.
hahahaha omg we’re both such bad enablers
This is such a great post! I love the whole idea of it and that you were so influenced by another blogger!
I thought this was a fun idea since people often do similar types of posts for Instagram and YouTube influencers!
Bloggers really influence & make me want to buy so many products, too. This was such a fun post! I think about resubbing to Ipsy every single month lol. Did you end up signing up for it? If so, I can’t wait to see what you get. 😁
LOL I did not – but I still consider it sometimes. HOWEVER, have you seen or heard of TrendMood1 on IG? She basically is like a beauty news account that posts swatches/sneak peaks of new and upcoming releases and she has her own box (in v. limited quantities). You can’t have a subscription / have to order each box individually, but the boxes she’s released so far have been freaking INCREDIBLE in terms of the brands / the value / and the newness of the products. Like everything is a “win” in terms of the box!
I missed the first 2 boxes (b/c they sell out in minutes), but I got my hands on the last box!!! Review to come lol.
Lol I check the Ipsy spoilers every month still, too. 😛 & I’m gonna go check out this Trendmood box right now! Thank you for telling me about it! I can’t wait to see your box & review. 😀
lol by the time I get that review up, I feel like TrendMood will announce her next box lololol! But at least I shot photos for it the other day!!
I can’t wait to see! I didn’t see a price for these boxes though?
They vary in price depending on what is in the box – $42-56!
loved the shade
Do you have any idea what happened to Hunida? I didn’t Unfollow her blog, but her blog disappeared from my list of blogs that I follow. I know WordPress gets weird glitches. I’ve just recently discovered that it unfollowed a blog that I didn’t want to Unfollow. Thankfully, he was easy to find. So I re-followed him. But when I look for Hunida’s Blog, all that comes up is re-blogs of her old posts. Did she leave WordPress, and switch to another blogging platform?
Honestly, I’ve been wondering the same thing. It looks like her blog was made private but I’m not sure why. It seemed so sudden.
