Packaging & Price
The e.l.f. Bite Size Palettes come in simple, plastic packaging with a white back and clear front. The packaging reminds me of the Mini Natasha Denona 5-Pan Palettes. My only complaint is that the shades in each quad are not individually named.
The Bite Size Palettes retail for $3.00 online and at most retailers. However, in the United States some retailers (CVS) sell these quads for $4.00.
e.l.f. Bite Size Palette Ingredients
The top two ingredients in the e.l.f. Bite Size Palettes are Mica and Talc. However, I did not notice any inherently irritating ingredients included on this list.

Additionally, e.l.f. Cosmetics is 100% Vegan, which means that the brand does not include any animal byproducts in its products.

Of the four Bite Size Palettes in my collection, Rose Water was the most difficult to swatch. The fourth shade was harder to build up consistency.

Application & Wear-Time
- Matte Shades: The matte shades in the Bite Size Palettes are best applied with a fluffy blending brush or dense packing brush
- Metallic Shades: The metallic shades in the Bite Size Palettes are best applied with a finger or a wet, flat brush
- Wear-Time: When worn over an eyeshadow primer, the e.l.f. Bite Size Palettes last 12 hours without fading, creasing, or smudging.

Final Thoughts on the elf Bite Size Palettes
Honestly, the e.l.f. Bite Size Palettes are a total STEAL at the drug store. These are incredibly affordable eyeshadow quads that contain an impressive eyeshadow formula. In fact, the performance blew me away.
Also, I enjoy the hyper-curated color stories. In addition to working as standalone palettes, the quads work well when paired together. However, when used in conjunction with one another a wider range of possible looks emerges.
Overall, elf remains one of the most affordable Cruelty-Free and Vegan brands sold at the drugstore. As such, I love supporting a brand that makes Vegan and Cruelty-Free products accessible to a broad range of consumers.
Finally, the small size, pigmentation, and ease of use of these quads make them unmatched standouts at the drugstore. 10/10 recommend picking up one of the e.l.f. Bite Size Palettes if you can find them in stores!

Omg I remember seeing these when you posted them on your instagram and I was so shocked when I realised they were from elf! Even though the packaging is so simple when I initially saw it it looked so expensive and fancy to me, maybe because they reminded me of Natasha Denona as you said. I also can’t believe these are only $3, that is crazy! I only wish elf was easier to buy in Australia because I need to get my hands on one of these!! xx
These really do look like Natasha Denona 5-pan dupes, so I need to sit down one day and do some swatch comparisons!
Wow, love that these are vegan and cruelty free, LP. Great price point too. I love how you blended them! You are so pretty with the most gorgeous eyes!
aww thank you so much, Jennifer! I’m really glad that e.l.f. is so affordable, but still remains Cruelty-Free an Vegan. It is very approachable for consumers who follow a Vegan lifestyle!
Pumpkin and spice looks great on you, all the shades you picked are very good neutrals for different skin tones. I’m impressed at the color payoffs for a $3 palette. Was it just one swipe on your arm swatches?
noooo – these were built up swatches with two swipes of color!! For $3.00, the quality of these shadows is really incredible. I kind of want to try more from the line now lol… not that I need anymore eyeshadow hahaha
That’s still super amazing with only 2 swipes
3 bucks?! I mean how could you not pick that up! I need to look these up! I am all about neutral colors and I actually really like how simple the packaging is. Thanks for sharing your thoughts doll, gorgeous flatlays as always!!

Seriously – these are little quads are pretty much unbeatable in terms of the quality for the price point! And thank you, girl!!
I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to eyeshadow, I never like drugstore one, ever since I started doing my make up 13 years ago I’ve never used cheap eyeshadows but the Rose Water one looks amazing, I might have to get that one
I used to feel similarly about drugstore shadows, but I think a lot of brands have really improved their formula. In the US, e.l.f., Milani, and LA girl are known to make pretty consistent and good shadow formulas. The newer Maybelline palettes have been better in quality, too. Also, I’ve always enjoyed the single shadows from L’Oreal lol.
LOL Rose Water was the quad that I actually had the most trouble with of the four, but def still buildable and still great at the $3.00 price point!
I’ve heard so many good things about these bite sized palettes from elf! The swatches are insane and I love the colour stories. Rose Water is my favourite! I’m really excited for these to come to our drugstores. Love this post! x
These swatches were built up with 2 swipes, BUT I still stand by the quality. At the price point these palettes really are incredible!!
I so want to try these palettes, they’re so pretty but so affordable too! They’re out of stock permanently right now here in the UK xo
Makeup Muddle
I had to hunt these down lol – there were so few available at the drugstores in the US. I’m glad I was able to snag these before most stores closed!
I’ve heard so many great things about e.l.f.! I love that they are super affordable and gets the job done. The bite size palette is cute!! It really goes with the name of being portable, and straight to the point. It is great that they are cruelty-free and vegan!! I love the shimmerness of their products!

These are such wonderful little quads and I’m so glad that these are really accessible, Cruelty-Free, and Vegan palettes!
Love these palettes!!
Me too – so great!!!
And such a steal for that prize!
I love elf. These palettes look so pretty (especially the Pumpkin Spice one) and $3 sounds like such a steal!
I really love how elf makes vegan & cf products accessible to anyone.
I absolutely loooooove ELF cosmetics – their products are affordable, cruelty-free, vegan, and worth their price. $3 is definitely a steal for such a pretty palette. I love this look on you.
Btw, your photos are so stunning. They get better and better every time.
Much love always,

Ahh thank you!!! I was truly wowed by these little quads – unbeatable quality at that price point!
$3?! Dang, that’s so cheap! They totally reminded me of the mini Natasha Denona palettes, too. Can’t believe how nice those swatches look plus they’re both vegan & CF? Whaaat? How did not know this about elf?
Love the look you created. You are gorgeous, LP! ♡
