Product Claims
Here is how Propa Beauty describes the #POWERPOUTS Luminous Satin Lipsticks:
A highly pigmented collection of shades [with an] extremely lightweight, clean Paraben-free formula, comfortable and provides a luminous, elegant satin finish. With 12 delicious shades, we have enough shades to amour up the inner Queen Warrior inside for success.
Packaging & Price
The Propa Beauty #POWERPOUTS Luminous Satin Lipsticks come in burnt-orange plastic components. On top of each tube is the brand’s gold-toned logo. In terms of weight, the packaging feels lighter. For example, the packaging is less weighted than similar components from brands like MAC Cosmetics or UOMA Beauty.
However, unlike the aforementioned brands, I LOVE the way that Propa Beauty labels their bullet lipsticks. A colored sticker is used to label each shade. Furthermore, the stickers perfectly align with each shade in the range. Compared to MAC, it is much easier to find your shade without having to open each lipstick tube.
Also, the #POWERPOUTS lipsticks are incredibly affordable. At $12.00 each, these indie lipsticks are only slightly more expensive than many mainstream drugstore alternatives from brands like L’OREAL, Maybelline and NYX. With the above said, Propa partners with influencers to offer discount codes. As result, customers can regularly save 15% using influencer affiliate codes. Therefore, the true price of these lipsticks is actually $10.20 with codes.
Is PROPA Cruelty Free & Vegan?
PROPA Beauty is 100% Cruelty-Free and Vegan. Finally, the brand’s lipsticks are free from parabens, phthalates, and talc.

Ingredient Analysis
Due to the demonization of ingredients in the US beauty space, I like to include a recap of the top 5-10 ingredients listed in many of the products that I review. Knowledge is power and ingredients that sound intimidating often serve an essential purpose in our personal care products. The below chart breaks down the top 10 ingredients used in the Propa Beauty lipstick in Focused. Ingredients may vary from shade to shade.
Top 10 Ingredients in the Propa Beauty #POWERPOUTS
Ingredient | Makeup Usage Benefit |
---|---|
Tridecyl Trimellitate | A synthetic ingredient used to enhance texture or soften skin. |
Polyethylene | A plastic (synthetic polymer) with many cosmetic functions such as in facial scrubs or as as a stabilizer, binding agent, thickener, and film-forming agent in moisturizers. |
Diisostearyl Malate | A common lipstick ingredient used for its emollient properties. |
Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2 | An alternative to lanolin used as a skin conditioner or emollient. |
Ethylhexyl Palmitate | In beauty products, this is used as an emollient or a texture enhancer. |
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride | A derivative of coconut oil and glycerin, this emollient ingredient helps to replenish the skin’s surface and moisturize. However, it can act as a thickening agent, too. |
Microcrystalline Wax | A petroleum-derived wax used in cosmetics as a thickener to give products a smoother finish. |
Ceresin | A beeswax alternative, derived from coal and shale commonly used in lipsticks to stabilize formulas. |
Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax | A plant-based beeswax alternative commonly used in lipsticks to stabilize formulas. |
Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax | A plant-based beeswax alternative commonly used in lipsticks to stabilize formulas. |
In looking at the above ingredients, there are a lot of soothing and moisturizing ingredients that will help provide a smooth, silky finish to the lips. However, I wish that there weren’t two plastic-derivatives used so high up in this formula. In full transparency, the use of plastic derivatives in personal care products is a topic I need to do more research on.
Propa Beauty #POWERPOUTS Luminous Satin Lipsticks Swatches
As always, swatches are not a perfect indicator of quality. However, swatches can provide clues about a product’s color payoff and ability to blend.

As you can tell by the above swatches, the PROPA Beauty #POWERPOUTS Lipsticks truly have a beautiful, luminous sheen. Although the formula applies sheer, the pigmentation is clearly buildable. However, it is important to keep in mind that lipstick colors may vary depending on the undertone and pigmentation of the wearer’s natural lip color.
Application & Wear-Time
The Propa Beauty #POWERPOUTS apply with ultimate ease due to the comfortable, satin formula. Unlike many popular matte lipstick formulas, these bullet lipsticks glide across the lips. Also, I never experience any pulling or tugging on the lips.
Despite the creamy, high-shine satin formula, I never experience any bleeding or smudging outside of my lip line. Once applied to the lips, the pigment stays in place. However, applying the lipstick over a lip liner prolongs the longevity of the products during the day.

Also, as someone with natural lines in my lips, I am picky about the formula of my lip products. Why?
I hate when products settle into fine lines or enhance the look of my textured lips. However, I never worry about this issue when wearing my Propa lipsticks. These luminous satin lipsticks never settle into my fine lines nor do they enhance lip texture.
Where are the Propa Beauty #POWERPOUTS Luminous Satin Lipsticks sold?
At this time, Propa Beauty sells their lipsticks exclusively on their website.

Oh my goodness, these lipsticks look divine!!
Gosh, I love these, LP. The rich colors but in wearable shades. I am so grateful to read they hold up so well! Definitely adding to my wishlist!
The packaging is really appealing to me for some reason!
Oh wow, these look amazing! I love the look of the packaging and it’s a great feature that the colour of the lipstick is the colour of the sticker. Beautiful swatches xx

I love the chocolate browns!
I love them, I have Finesse and Victress! Even though they make me teeth a little bit yellow (ugh I shouldn’t buy peachy/orangy/brownish lipsticks but I just love them…) I love how shiny and pigmented they are!
