Summer 2020 Haircare Empties Roundup October 3, 2020
After a Summer-long blogging hiatus, I fell behind with sharing my quarterly beauty empties. Rather than sharing six months of empties in one giant post, I decided to break up my normal roundup into 3 separate posts. Keep reading for my Summer 2020 haircare empties roundup!

Why I Do Share My Haircare Empties?
Although I am a huge makeup and skincare hoarder, I own a fairly small collection of haircare. However, for someone who rarely does her hair, I own far too much. Therefore, I am actively truly to pair down my collection of styling products. I even featured one haircare product in my 20 in 2020 Project Pan.
Summer 2020 Haircare Empties
Amika Hydrating Conditioner | $48.00, CF
Honestly, the best thing about Amika products is the heavenly, sweet floral fragrance. However, I learned that my skin is too sensitive for the fragrance when using Amika shampoo and conditioners together.
Consistency-wise, the Hydrate Conditioner felt thin. The thin consistency seems like it would work for my thin hair. However, this conditioner was not hydrating enough. In fact, my hair felt dry. As result, I finished this big bottle in less than 5 months!
Biolage – Hydrasource Conditioning Balm for Dry Hair | $30.00
During a major cleaning spree earlier this year, I discovered a full tube of the Biologe Hydrasource Conditioning Balm.* Rather than letting this product go to waste, I used it up. Although I enjoyed this conditioner, I found it too thick for my thin hair.

Biolage Conditioning Balm
Sexy Hair – Fresh Hair Dry Styling Mousse | $17.95, CF
The Sexy Hair Fresh Hair Dry Styling Mousse has been a favorite styling product of mine for the last two years. The Fresh Hair Dry Styling Mousse adds definition to my wavy hair on days when I don’t blow-dry. However, I want to work through more of my styling products before I repurchase this styler.
VERB – Ghost Conditioner| $40.00, CF & Vegan
As a whole, VERB’s Ghost line of products are my favorite for cleaning my scalp without stripping it. The Ghost Conditioner* is a lightweight, hydrating conditioner that adds moisture to my hair without weighing it down.
VERB – Ghost Shampoo| $40.00, CF & Vegan
VERB’s Ghost line of products are my favorite for cleaning my scalp without stripping it. The Ghost Shampoo* is an effective cleanser that washes my hair without irritating my scalp or drying out my hair.

VERB Ghost Shampoo
VERB – Reset Clarifying Shampoo | $18.00, CF & Vegan
VERB is one of my favorite haircare brands. The brand’s Ghost line is gentle, but effective at cleansing my scalp. I was excited to discover that VERB created a clarifying shampoo. However, I have mixed feelings on the Reset Clarifying Shampoo. I don’t find that this shampoo is as effective as other clarifying shampoos nor do I prefer this shampoo to the Ghost Shampoo.
Haircare Empties: 6 | $183.95
Final Thoughts on My Summer Haircare Empties Roundup
I am genuinely sad that I no longer own my VERB Ghost Shampoo & Conditioner. These lightweight, but effective haircare staples cleanse my scalp without causing irritation or weighing down my hair.

I think I l’d like to try the Matrix mousse. I’m using one called Coconut Curls right now that was inexpensive and I really like it too. Loved seeing all your empties, LP. Look forward to seeing more as you catch up. Hope you are having a good weekend!
Thanks, Jennifer! It’s been nice feeling like myself again – getting back into the swing of things with regular posting, etc.
Verb sounds very interesting, I had a quick google and looks like they’ve got a lot of great products. I currently use a lot of Korean haircare and I really like it!

I’m trying to finish so many products and these posts inspire me so much XD I love Amika’s packaging though
lolol I’m glad – there are quite a few products (particularly from my 20 in 2020 project) that I’m so close on. I’ll be so pissed if I don’t finish them by the end of the year!I really love Amika’s packaging and the scents truly are intoxicating. Hopefully, one day I’ll be able to use their stuff again without irritation!
I have heard A LOT about Verb lately so I definitely want to try those out. Great post!
I have heard of the Verb line but it’s not available over here. Sounds like it is really difficult for you to find a good line with your sensitive skin. That is frustrating!!! (Sorry that it’s been SO long since I’ve popped on here!)
Yeahhhh this summer my skin went so crazy so it threw me for a loop. But I’m hoping it is just sensitized and not actually sensitive in the long term. But VERB is such a lovely haircare brand – simple, but affordable for the quality. I loved these huge bottles lol!
I honestly don’t take any interest in my hair whatsoever. It’s really straight and fine, and it gets greasy ridiculously quickly. I’ve not heard of VERB before, but it sounds like it might be great for my hair!
I have fine, greasy hair and I love the Ghost line. For a “prestige” line, it is super affordable, too!
