Mini Beauty Haul | 12 New Gifts from Friends May 22, 2018
As many of you may know, I am currently in the middle of a three-month “no-buy.” So far, my no-buy has been successful. I’ve abstained from buying new makeup when tempted. However, this month, my friends gifted some items from friends. Keep reading for my Mini Beauty Haul.

Why Share my Mini Beauty Haul?
To maintain complete transparency on the items flowing in and out of my collection, I wanted to share the products gifted to me. I am beyond blessed to have generous people in my life who send me such thoughtful items.
NYX: Perfect Filter Shadow Palette in PFSP05 – Marine Layer
I am so excited to receive the NYX Perfect Filter Marine Layer Palette. These are colors are unlike anything I own in my current collection due to the cool undertones. This palette retails for $20.00.
Urban Decay Lipsticks
I was given three matte urban decay lipsticks in super fun colors (L: H Cloud9, Crank, Spellbound). I am excited to try these lipsticks because I don’t own any of the Urban Decay Vice lipsticks in the Mega Matte formula, but I love the other UD lipsticks that I own. Two colors (Cloud9 and Spellbound) are from the Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne collection that was released earlier this year.
In addition to the three UD lipsticks mentioned above, I was given an Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lipgloss in Rapture* – which I am PUMPED (!!) to try. I love lipgloss. Whether I am going full glam or having an easy no-makeup makeup day, a gloss is my go-to lip product. My current lip glosses are more muted colors, so I am excited to try something more pigmented.
Other products pictured (from L:R) include NYX Luv Out Loud Liquid Lipstick in Brave, Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura Rouge Bonbon Fantasy Trio, and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Naughty Plum.*
Editor’s Note 1/22/2019: Of the items gifted to me in this mini beauty haul, I ended decluttering every single item EXCEPT the Urban Decay Gloss. This reaffirms that I would rather buy my own makeup than be surprised with things I have no say in.
Gifts from Benefit
Another friend picked up some Benefit Cosmetics products for me, without me even asking. The above picture includes two deluxe samples (The Porefessional Primer* & They’re Real Mascara*), as well as two full-sized products. When it comes to brows and mascaras, Benefit makes some of my favorite products. However, I have never tried the Precisely, My Brow Pencil or the BADgal BANG! Mascara.* I’ve heard good things about both products and can’t wait to try these out.
Final Thoughts on my Mini Beauty Haul
Thank you again to my friends who gifted me these items – your unwavering kindness means the world to me!!! I am so grateful to have people in my life who think of me enough to send these goodies my way.
EDIT: I did not ask for any of these products, so receiving gifts was not a way to get around my strict “no buy” rules for this period.
