I am currently on a Beauty Low Buy. However, I made a big drugstore makeup haul earlier this Winter. Recently, I came to the realization that I don’t hype up affordable beauty enough on my blog. And I want to change that.
I am a huge believer that ”beauty” is for everyone regardless of how you look, where you live, or what your budget is. However, I recognize that not all beauty is accessible to everyone. Therefore, I want to make a conscious effort to share affordable beauty products that I’m loving.
If you love affordable beauty, please keep reading for my big drugstore makeup haul.
In the United States, CVS, Target, and Ulta are my go-to spots to buy affordable beauty products. Target usually has low prices, while CVS runs killer promotions every week. Ulta has an amazing selection of affordable products, too!

Big Drugstore Makeup Haul
e.l.f. Opposites Attract Eyeshadow Palette ($14.00, CF)
I haven’t purchased any eyeshadows from E.L.F. Cosmetics since I was in middle school. However, when I saw the Opposites Attract Eyeshadow Palette* I was entranced by the mix of warm and cool-tone shades.
Also, Opposites Attract is very reminiscent of the Urban Decay Born to Run Palette.* But it is a fraction of the price ($14.00 vs $49.00). For more on e.l.f.’s incredible, affordable products read my Bite Size Palette review or my e.l.f & Essence Palette ranking.
E.L.F. Cosmetics Opposites Attract Eyeshadow Palette
E.L.F’s Opposites Attract Palette consists of 18 shadows, nine cool-tones and nine warm-tones. Also, the palette contains five shimmer shades and thirteen matte shades. E.L.F is Cruelty-Free.
Eternal – Nail Enamel & 2 Step Gel ($1.99 – $4.00)
This past year I went through my entire nail polish collection. Sadly, More than 95% of my collection was decluttered because the polishes expired. Therefore, I was left with only my top coat, base coat, and two or three random shades.
While on vacation I had an urge to paint my nails. Therefore, I picked up two shades of polish from the brand Eternal. Then, during another pit stop to CVS, I grabbed 3 of the 2 Step Gel Polishes in nude, coffee toffee, and navy. Also, I picked up a matte top coat.
Eternal Enamel Polish, Gel, and Matte Top Coat
Although I’ve never tried the brand, I was encouraged by Eternal Enamel’s packaging. Also, I was impressed by the wide array of colors. Moreover, the brand’s aesthetic reminds me of Essie. However, it is a fraction of the price.
These polishes formulated without Formaldehyde, Toluene, and DBP. Additionally, these polishes are made in the USA. That being said, I am unsure as to this brand’s Cruelty-Free status.
L.A. Girl | HD Pro Concealer
The L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealers are beloved drug store concealer known for being ridiculously inexpensive and full coverage.
L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer Peach Color Corrector
I opted to pick up the L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer in the peach color corrector shade. This concealer promises to neutralize dark circles and to minimize the appearance of fine lines. L.A. Girl is Cruelty-Free.
L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer Price: $3.99 USD
L’OREAL Paris – ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Rapid Reviver Deep Conditioner ($4.99)
L’OREAL’s haircare products always work well for my sensitive scalp. When I stumbled across the ELVIVE Total Repair Reviver Deep Conditioner* I knew I wanted to try it.
My hair is fine, frizzy, and damaged. Also, it is prone to getting tangled and breaking. Therefore, the promise to prevent breakage and tangles drew me in. L’Oreal is not Cruelty-Free.
Maybelline – Fit Me Concealer & Soda Pop Palette
In my search for the perfect drug store concealer, I picked up the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer* ($8.29) in the shade Fair. This liquid concealer promises to provide flawless coverage in an oil-free formula. Read my concealer ranking for dark circles.
Maybelline New York Soda Pop Palette & Fit Me Concealer
Did I need another eyeshadow palette? No. Have I been stalking the Soda Pop Palette ($13.99) since I saw Jackie Aina create a look with it? Yes.
When I was younger I used to love the Maybelline eyeshadow quads, but stopped buying. Nevertheless, I’m excited to see how the Soda Pop Palette will perform compared to my other favorite formulas.
Maybelline is not Cruelty-Free
NYX – Ultimate Edit 6-Pan Palette & Epic Ink Liner
For a while, NYX seemed to be every beauty guru’s favorite, go-to drug store brand. However, I never tried any products from the brand.
Recently I purchased NYX’s Epic Ink Liner* ($9.00, CF). This liquid liner seems to be a top-recommendation loved by beauty bloggers.
NYX Cosmetics Ultimate Edit Petite Palette & Epic Ink Liner
At the time I purchased the eyeliner, CVS ran BOGO 50% a promotion. As a result, I grabbed the NYX Ultimate Edit Petite Palette* ($7.00, CF) in Brights, too.
NYX is Cruelty-Free.
Peripera – Ink Velvet & Cushion Pang Lip Tints
I stopped in my tracks when I saw that CVS Health now carried the K-Beauty brand, Peripera. Not only have I been wanting to try more K-beauty products, but I’ve been wanting to explore lip tints.
I picked up two lip tints and a tinted lip balm. For those unfamiliar with lip tints, these lip products are meant to stain the lips with a wash of color.
- Ink Velvet Lip Tint – Beauty Pink Rose ($13.99)
- Cushion Pang Lip Tint – Swaggy Red ($17.99, now discontinued)
- Butter Pang – Peach Butter ($12.99)
Peripera Cushion Pang & Velvet Lip Tints and Butter Pang Balm
Fun fact: I had no idea how much these Peripera lip products cost until I reached the cash register. Had I known that these were priced at the upper echelon of the drugstore, I would not have purchased three items.
Nevertheless, I bought each item. (1) I was embarrassed. (2) I had three coupons that made each item significantly cheaper than the standard price.
I am unsure if Peripera is Cruelty-Free.
Pixi Beauty – Best of Rose Collection ($22.00, CF)
Pixi is too expensive to be considered a true drugstore brand. However, they aren’t premium enough to be considered a prestige brand. As a result, I’ve always hesitated to try the brand. For me, the price seemed too steep for a drugstore brand.
Pixi by Petra Best of Rose Collection
However, I’m so tired of feeling out of the loop! The Pixi Glow Tonic* ($18.00, CF) is the most hyped product from the brand. Nevertheless, the Glow Tonic did not appeal to me at this time. I already own quite a few skin brightening serums.
Instead, I opted to snag the Best of Rose Collection ($22.00, CF). When it comes to skincare, I love buying mini sets. They enable me to try a full system without dropping tons of money. Pixi is Cruelty-Free.
Revlon – Kiss Cushion Lip Tint ($9.99)
I blame Pinterest for this purchase. After seeing countless ads on Pinterest advertising the new Revlon Lip Tints, I knew I had to give these a try! Ultimately, I picked up the shade Pretty Kiss, a light brown nude.
Kiss Cushion Lip Tint in Pretty Kiss
I’m interested to see how this lip tint performs compared to Peripera. In fact, I’m rooting for this product to be a winner. Revlon tends to be an overlooked brand at the drugstore. Revlon is not Cruelty-Free.
Final Thoughts
One of my favorite aspects of purchasing drug store goodies is “hunt” that goes along with searching for the best deals. Unlike most of my other haul posts, I did not pick up everything in this drugstore beauty haul in one go.
Every single item above was purchased at a discounted price using a retailer-specific deal or coupon. That being said, I always list the full retail price.
