Since she exploded onto the online beauty scene with her viral tutorials, Huda Kattan has remained an unstoppable force within the beauty industry. Her influence and ability to predict consumer trends helped create the foundation of her insanely popular makeup brand, Huda Beauty. But are all of her products worth the hype? In today’s post I’ll be sharing my Huda Beauty palette ranking.

Mini Huda Beauty Palette Ranking
5 | Huda Beauty – Pink Neon Obsessions ($29.00, CF)
Although the Pink Neon Obsessions palette is a “one-trick pony,” the color story of this neon pink palette makes me so happy. The pink shadows in this palette are vibrant pinks with an almost purple undertone. My purple-loving heart loves thus vibrant neon palette.
However, I admit that the Pink Neon Obsessions Palette is not super unique. Many other brand sell palettes with similar color stories or sell single shadows that look similar.
4 | Huda Beauty – Topaz Gemstone Obsessions ($27.00, CF)
At the time it was released, the Huda Beauty Topaz Gemstone Obsessions Palette‘s* yellow-orange color story stood out among a sea of warm brown and berry tones. To this day, the Topaz Obsessions palette remains on-trend. Neutral eyeshadow lovers who are just beginning to explore wearing vibrant colors will adore this compact palette.
However, I own many similar palettes from brands such as ColourPop, Juvia’s Place, and NARS. For that reason, beauty lovers with a huge eyeshadow collection may want to wait until a sale to purchase this palette.
3 | Huda Beauty – Orange Neon Obsessions ($29.00, CF)
The Orange Neon Obsessions is a fun, neon palette. I still love this palette for the varied mix of orange, yellow, and pink neon tones. A wide variety of looks can be created using this over-the-top, orange palette.
2 | Huda Beauty – Ruby Gemstone Obsessions ($27.00, CF)
I screamed when I found the Ruby Gemstone Obsession Palette* on sale for $11.00. This limited edition ruby-inspired palette contains a range of reds in various tones. As someone who loves wearing red eyeshadow, this palette receives a ton of use in my collection.
1 | Huda Beauty – Smokey Obsessions ($27.00, CF)
The Huda Beauty Smokey Obsessions is a highly pigmented, curated, compact 9-pan palette. Although miniature in size, this palette inspires a wide breadth of looks from soft bronze daytime eye looks to dramatic, smokey evening looks.

Large Huda Beauty Palette Ranking
4 | Huda Beauty – Rose Gold Remastered Palette ($65.00, CF)
The Rose Gold Remastered Palette* is a beautiful neutral palette with pops of rich berry-tones. Similar to the Topaz Obsessions Palette, the Rose Gold Remastered is a wonderful palette for beauty lovers just learning to experiment with colors.
The above being said, this palette can be easily duped at a cheaper price point. Brands like Anastasia Beverly Hills and Lime Crime sell similar palettes in their lines. Moreover, the metallics in this palette feel slightly sticky.
3 | Huda Beauty – Mercury Retrograde Palette ($67.00, CF)
The Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Palette made my heart stop when I first saw the promotional images online. The Mercury Retrograde Palette is a light-toned, half-neutral, and half-colorful palette full of staple everyday shades, pastels, and jewel-tones.
2 | Huda Beauty – Desert Dusk Palette ($65.00, CF)
I lusted after the Desert Dusk Palette* for a long time before I eventually purchased this purple palette. Like many of the other palettes on this list, I bought the Desert Dusk Palette at a steep discount.
Man-o-man. I love the color story of this warm purple palette.
1 | Huda Beauty – New Nude Palette ($65.00, CF)
Not only is the New Nude Palette* the top palette within my Huda Beauty Palette Ranking, but this is one of my favorite palettes of all time. If I lost all of my makeup, this palette would be the first thing I repurchased.
The New Nude Palette is an effortlessly pretty, pink-toned nude palette creates soft, sexy glam for everyday wear. Anytime I create a look with this palette, I am complemented by friends and strangers, alike.
P.S. Huda Beauty’s Cruelty-Free status is somewhat debated in the beauty community. While Huda Beauty does not test on animals, the brand sells mink lashes. While I consider the brand Cruelty-Free, I needed to express this debate to remain transparent.
Final Thoughts on my Huda Beauty Eyeshadow Palette Collection
Without a doubt, the Huda Beauty eyeshadow formula is one of my favorite formulas on the market right now. As a brand, Huda stays on top of the trends but doesn’t overwhelm the community with an overload of constant launches. In fact, Huda’s releases are often the first to set off a major trend. From monochrome color stories and micro palettes to the return of cream bronzers, Huda’s brand defines the trends that other brands quickly follow.
Despite all of the above praise, it is important to note that the formula between the 9-pan and 18-pan palettes differs. Although I enjoy both formulas, many consumers only enjoy the small palettes or the large palettes.
The formula of the shadows in the 18-pan palettes is more firmly pressed, so the shadows produce less fallout and are less prone to crumbling. As such, the mattes are drier and more difficult to blend. Additionally, the metallic shadows feel soft and gel-like.
By comparison, the 9-pan palettes have a creamier formula that produces more fallout and mess. The matte shadows in some of the mini palettes are known to shatter and the metallics often crumble. That being said, these shadows are easier to blend.
The difference in formula is likely due to the different manufacturers producing the palettes. The 18-pan palettes are made in Italy, while the Obsessions Palettes are made in China.
Overall, I love Huda’s eyeshadow formula, so I had a fun time putting together my Huda Beauty palette ranking. Within Huda’s brand there is something for everyone!
