This September, I've been taking part in Be More With Less's #BusyBoycott Challenge in an effort to simplify my life. I'm tired of spending all my time and energy doing things that don't add value to my life or bring me joy, so my hope with this challenge is to learn how to better prioritize my life so that I have time to do the things that make me happy.
This September, I've been taking part of Be More With Less's 21 day #BusyBoycott Challenge because lately I've found that my mile-long to-do lists have taken over my life and I'm seemingly spending more and more time doing things I feel I need to do, rather than things that I want to do. I want to simplify my life so that I have time to truly live for the things that bring me the most joy.
On my commute to work, I can't help but to wonder, how many people are aiming to get through the day? How often do I start my own day thinking, I'll be happy when this day is over. Unfortunately, too many people go through life merely aiming to make it through their day. In the immortal words of Switchfoot, "I wanna thrive, not just survive." But what does it mean to thrive? Personally, when I envision the word "thrive," I see lush green vegetation blooming, regardless of the weather or the environment.
