I am a sucker for a wet-looking, glowy highlighter. The NABLA Skin Glazing Highlighters when they first launched. When these highlighters sold out during 3 consecutive restocks at Ulta, I was desperate to try NABLA’s hyped highlighter formula.
But are the Skin Glazing Highlighters overhyped or a must-have for beauty lovers? Please keep reading for an in-depth review and swatches of the NABLA Skin Glazing Highlighters.
What is NABLA all about?
Founded in 2013, NABLA is an Italian-owned indie beauty brand that focuses on delivering innovative, high-quality cosmetics to beauty lovers across the globe.

NABLA Skin Glazing Highlighters Claims
According to NABLA, the Skin Glazing Highlighters are a kaleidoscope of thin and dazzling pearls that redefine the concept of light. These highlighter formula is described as a thin and lightweight with a shine that will light up the face with a mirrored looking glow. Even the Sun’s reflections will envy your the glow from the Skin Glazing highlights!
The highlighters are intended to be applied wet or dry. They boast a skin-smoothing formula that will not emphasize textures and are comprised of 60% light-reflecting pearl and pure pigments.
The Skin Glazing Highlighters are available in 6 shades:
- Ozone (Neutral Ivory)
- Amnesia (Golden Champagne)
- Privilege (Champagne Duo Chrome with Peach Reflects)
- Lucent Jungle (Golden Bronze)
- Truth (Peach Rose)
- Adults Only (Ruby).
Additionally, NABLA created 2 brushes specifically intended for use with the highlighters. However, I did not pick up either brush.

Packaging & Price
The Skin Glazing Highlighters come in compact, minimalistic plastic packaging with a pink tint. The packaging makes it easy to store the highlighters in drawers or beauty boxes. Also, the tinted packaging makes it easy to appreciate the stunning, textured imprint of the highlighter pans.
However, it is important to note that some buyers are initially confused by the pink tint of the packaging. This tint makes the highlighters appear darker than they actually are in the pan. Please keep this in mind if you find yourself alarmed when your highlighter arrives at home.
On the NABLA website, the Skin Glazing Highlighters retail for €22,00. In the United States, the highlighters retail for $24.00. Based on the current conversion rate (at the time of this writing), this makes the US pricing slightly cheaper than the European prices.
Each Skin Glazing Highlighter contains approximately 6.5 grams of the product. This breaks down to roughly $3.70 per gram of product.
Cruelty-Free & Cruelty-Free Status
All NABLA products are Cruelty-Free. NABLA does not test raw ingredients or finished products on animals, nor does the brand pay for third-party animal testing. NABLA is not sold in countries that mandate animal testing.
Also, the NABLA Skin Glazing Highlighters are 100% Vegan. This means that no animal by-products were used to make these highlighters.

As you can tell by both sets of swatches, the Skin Glazing highlighters live up to their promise to provide a wet-looking sheen to the skin. But how do you apply to the cheeks?
Application & Wear-Time
Although the NABLA Skin Glazing Highlighters can be applied wet or dry, I prefer to apply these highlighters using a dry, fluffy highlighter brush. These highlighters feel weightless on my cheeks and add high shine without emphasizing texture. They do not look or feel heavy on the face.
Despite having such oily skin, I do not find that the highlighters fade throughout the day. My glow continues to shine throughout the day, without fading, melting, or creating a glittery mess on my cheeks.
I love the wet-look that this gives my cheeks. Fans of metallic or glittery highlighters may not enjoy this formula, as the Skin Glazes provide a natural-looking glow.

Where are NABLA Skin Glazing Highlighters sold?
The Skin Glazing Highlighters and Skin Glazing brushes are sold internationally via the NABLA website, as well as through Ulta Beauty in the United States. Within the US, UK, and much of Europe, Beauty Bay is selling the Skin Glazes, too.
Final Thoughts on the NABLA Skin Glazing Highlighters
Once again, NABLA completely lived up to the hype. Not only are the Skin Glazing Highlighters beautiful to look at in the pan, but the formula of these highlighters is on-par with highlighters from Ofra, Benefit (Cookie), and Persona Cosmetics.
Of the two shades that I currently own, Ozone is the shade I typically reach for when highlighting my face. On my skin tone, Ozone provides a more high impact and wet-looking glaze than Privilege.
Finally, I want to try more from the range. Aside from the shade Lucent Jungle (a deep golden bronze), I want to pick up the remaining shades in the Skin Glazing Highlighter line.
