Hi friends. ♥️

I can’t tell you how many times I started, deleted, and stopped as I tried to find the words to explain my absence over the last two weeks. But sometimes there are no words. And sometimes life is just hard.

Although I’ve struggled with my Mental Health since I was teen, the impact of this last year spent in isolation has only worsened my anxiety and depression. At times, everyday tasks can become a burden to complete. Even “fun” things like blogging or beauty become burdensome.

But after a rough couple of weeks, I’ve been working hard to prioritize my health - physically and mentally. And I’m feeling ready to return to the thing I love most.

Also, exciting for me - I’ve been able to actually wear some makeup again without experiencing any reactions. It’s crazy how colorful goop & sparkly powder can do wonders to make me feel more like myself. [However, this look isn’t a new one.]

Have I used this palette yet? no. The pan design is so beautiful that I’m honestly a little hesitant. 😜 🙈

Nevertheless, once I’m sufficiently happy with the photos I take of the beautiful embossing, I will dig a brush or my fingers into these shadows and mess with the beautiful designs. 😂 😂 Have you ever owned something so pretty, you almost didn’t want to use it?

I’m excited to finally try the @byterryofficial formula because I’ve heard such great things about these palettes.

We know I can’t resist a beautiful pan design, so here are two blushes from the @colourpopcosmetics x Mulan collection that launched in 2020.

I can still vividly remember the day I went to see Mulan in theaters and it’s still one of my all-time favorite Disney animated films. ♥️ Beyond my love for the characters, some of my all-time favorite movie quotes come from original 1998 film.

In fact, I still tear up during the scene when Fa Zhou tells Mulan, “what beautiful blossoms we have this year. But look! This one's late. But I'll bet that when it blooms, it will be the most beautiful of all.” 🌸 😭 🌺

Even in my twenties (and maybe *especially* in my twenties) when post-university self-comparison is a struggle, I’ve felt encouraged by these words. 💗 (P.S. the Emperor’s words about blooming in adversity still get me, every single time.)

What is a movie that always makes you cry? Or a childhood film that still resonates with you?

P.S. Fun fact: when DVDs were still a thing, my parents tried buying a copy of Mulan off Amazon (before we stopped shopping there); however, it was in German and the disc wasn’t compatible with our DVD player! 😂 Years later, I ended up giving the movie to a German friend at Uni. LOL

After my *horrible* flare up in February and my restrictive “skin diet” that began in Feb and carried through March, this was THE first new product I introduced into my routine. And I can honestly say that my sensitive, oily (but still distressed & dehydrated) skin LOVED this serum.

I saw immediate results. The best way I can describe my skin is to say it looked less angry. It looked plumper, brighter, and just more healthy, overall. And my skin drank up the hydration. My sentiment remained unwavering during the the weeks testing this.

The serum feels lightweight. Therefore, I recommend that individuals with dry skin follow-up this serum with a thicker cream for hydration that lasts all day.

After a year in my 20 in 2020 Project Pan and 3 months in my Partners in Cream Project, I have finally finished the @glossier Lip Gloss in Clear! 🙌🏻 I was beginning to feel like this OG gloss would last me forever.

As a result of working ultra hard to finish this gloss, I was reminded how much I loved it in the first place. The Clear Lip Gloss provides a ultra glossy finish to the lips that works well on mostly-skincare days or on (the now rare) days when I’m rocking a full beat.

In terms wear, the gloss is non-sticky and never leaves my lips feeling or looking dry. Without eating or drinking, the actual shine last on the lips for about 3 hours. As the gloss fades, it does so gracefully.

My biggest pet peeve (and this goes for all clear glosses) is that I need to apply with my finger on days when I’m wearing this over another pigmented liner or lippie. Otherwise, the tube and the applicator get dirty and I hate that. [Pls tell me I’m not alone lol.]

Because I currently own 100+ lip glosses, I won’t be rushing to repurchase. However, when the timing is right [aka when there is a sale], I will likely repurchase.

In terms of my roll-in for the project, I’ve started to work on a previously unopened mini lipgloss from Buxom (not pictured). My aim is to finish this mini by my next (hopefully on time) update in April.

And please peep that entirely empty @physiciansformula Formula Butter Bronzer Pan. 🤩 Still the only powder bronzer I’ve ever completely panned and repurchased. [However, I have actually finished the CT Hollywood Contour Wand pictured here.]

My goal this year is to hit pan on at least 3 other powder bronzers. So far, I’m 1/3rd of the way there - I’ve finally hit pan on my Urban Decay Beached Bronzer. 👏🏻👏🏻 The Fenty Sun Stalk’r Bronzer has been my main focus since then. While I have a good dip, I still haven’t seen pan yet, but I know I’ll get there.
