The Loveliest in Beauty
Persona Cosmetics | The Identity Palette
The Persona Cosmetics Identity Palette is my go-to neutral eyeshadow palette for the summer. The shadows apply sheer. However, they are easy to build up. Read my full Identity Palette review. Check out my honest thoughts on Persona’s Season One Liquid Lipsticks or Season One Lip Glosses.
New to Persona Cosmetics? Please consider using my referral link for 15% off your first purchase. If you make a purchase I will receive 5% cashback for the sale, but please know that I’ve been purchasing from Persona long before I had a code. I would never recommend products I didn’t truly love.
Urban Decay | Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette
I hated on the Urban Decay Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette* so much when it initially launched. However, this is my most reached for colorful palette of the summer. Overall, the shadows look pigmented and blend like butter. Meanwhile, the grungy color range works for a variety of outfits.
Read my Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette review for my honest thoughts on this colorful. Also, check out my Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette review to see how I feel about the brand’s golden-hued palette.
The Loveliest in Entertainment, Fashion, & Lifestyle
Ariana Grande | Ariana, everything.
2019 is the year of Ariana Grande. I’m here for it. As a longtime Ari fan who avidly listened to her music since 2012, I love seeing her finally getting the recognition she deserves. She is a killer vocalist and badass woman. When I won two tickets to see her live in Boston, I freaked out!
After seeing Ari in concert, her albums play nonstop. Even though I already love her albums, I am falling in love with her music all over again. All-in-all, her progression as an artist continues to excite and inspire me.
AND I’m tired of hearing guys say that Ari’s music is basic. To say such is dismissive and rude. Period. Moreover, the complete evolution between Sweetener and Thank U Next speaks to anyone who experienced the heartbreak of falling in and out of love.
Since I already owned all of her albums, I picked up some merch from my favorite Italian-American singer. After the show in June, I ordered a “Thank U Next” baseball hat, “Break Up With Your Girlfriend” cropped blush sweatshirt, and a “NASA” T-shirt (purchased via an Etsy shop).
And I’m living my best life.
MMS Designs| Clear Handbag
Across New England, many concerts and sports arenas recently changed their bag policies for large events. Major acts of gun violence and terrorism occurring in the US and abroad spurred the change. Previously, venues allowed purses and large-size totes at events. However, many venues recently placed restrictions that mandate bags must be no larger than a clutch and/or must be completely clear. As someone who attends a lot of concerts, picking up a clear handbag felt like a smart choice.
Not only is my clear and blush purse practical, but it is super cute. Although I wish it wasn’t made of plastic, this was inevitable given the restrictions.
More Lovely Music
Jonas Brothers | Happiness Begins
Make fun of me all you’d like but I’ve loved the Jonas Brothers for over a decade. Even when the band split apart, I still followed the brothers in their separate endeavors. However, I was beyond thrilled when they reunited earlier this year. Happiness Begins is the album we’ve been waiting for. It is a feel-good, pop album that feels and sounds like the brothers, but reflects their growth as people and musicians.
Also, I won’t lie: I actually teared up seeing them in concert this August. The memories that tied to the Jonas Brothers’ songs and videos are so deeply ingrained in my adolescence.
Normani | Motivation
I wasn’t ready for Normani’s Motivation video. Not only does Normani reference classic music video history in her video, but her choreography absolutely killed it.
Moreover, Motivation is always stuck in my head. Honestly, I’m not mad about it. Can’t wait to see what is on the horizon for Normani as a solo artist.
Big Sean | Single Again
Big Sean’s Single Again is a mood. I love how open and honest this song feels. Moreover, I really love the way that Big Sean put a positive spin on breakups and being single. Overall, there is a lot of self-reflection in the song. Plus, I respect the fact that his talented ex, Jhene Aiko’s vocals feature on the track.

September 3, 2019 at 7:39 amSuch a fun post, LP! I must be living under a rock, but that’s so cool you won Ariana tickets?? I’m debating getting tickets for this fall – but only because I’m a bit broke right now.

September 3, 2019 at 6:33 pmThat Urban Decay palette looks amazing!
I was surprised at how much I’ve loved this, but I’m bitter that I paid a much steeper price tag when I bought it. It’s been selling for $25 at most US retailers lately!!
Oh no that’s so annoying!
Loved your post so much!! 💗The Urban Decay Born to Run palette is amazing!! It’s basically the only eyeshadow palette I use at the moment lol!! It’s such a versatile palette!! Also, adore all of your music faves. I was a huge JoBro fan when I was a teen and am so happy that they’re putting out new music. Only Human is my favorite song from their new era!! It’s SO catchy hehe!! Fantastic post!!! x
omg this was such a fun post! I absolutely agree with you about Ariana Grande, she’s killing atm, what a legend! I can’t believe you won tickets to her show that’s so cool! btw that Nasa t-shirt is sickkkk and I think I need it
UGH loveee her – so glad she is finally getting more recognition because she is super talented!! Seeing her live only reaffirmed her vocal talent!
This was such a fun post! Loved reading it. I have also been loving Ariana during the summer (and way before but the concert here was in August). Also been loving how happy I’ve felt this summer, which is something I haven’t felt for years.
Aw I’m so glad that you’re feeling so good, girl!!! Hope you LOVED the concert!! 😀
Absolutely!! Ari’s voice is live even better, even though I didn’t know that that would be possible! She’s amazing ❤️
That Urban Decay palette is gorgeous. They still have my favorite eyeshadow formula but I haven’t tried ABH or CP yet. 😛
Lately this palette has been on sale for ~$25.00 which is a total steal for the quality and color selection!! Urban Decay’s formula is definitely underrated in the beauty market.
I love ABH, but the formula is definitely more powdery (sometimes you can find their limited edition palettes at places like Marshalls & TJ Maxx at a steep discount), and CP is just so hard to beat for the price point!
Oh wow, that’s such a steal because their single shadows are $20 a piece! I never really see anybody talk about Urban Decay shadows but yeah, ABH & CP seem to be the most popular!
