Let me level with you: I’ve had my online shopping cart ready since March… in anticipation for the Spring Sale. To be fair, I’ve had quite a lot of time to plan out my purchases AND I have a few gift cards that have been burning a hole in my pocket. However, this will (hopefully) be my last haul until my birthday in the Fall because my spending has been out of control all year.
Please keep reading to see what I snagged at this year’s Spring VIB Sale.
Anastasia Beverly Hills – Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette | $42.00 USD
When Anastasia Beverly Hills first launched the Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette early in 2018 had little interest in this palette. Although the color story was a beautiful mix of neutral shades, I didn’t feel drawn to the color story. Flash forward to current day and I haven’t been able to get this palette out of my mind. After swatching this in-store, I ultimately decided to pick this up.
Price: $42.00 USD / $33.60 USD
Cover FX | Monochromatic Blushes
As I sit here and type this, I’m dying a little on the inside because this was the most extravagant purchase I made during the VIB sale this year. As soon as I saw the Cover FX Monochromatic Blushes and Bronzers advertised on the TrendMood Instagram page, I knew with complete certainty that I’d be picking up at least one of these duos… I’m ashamed to say that I ended up purchasing three of these duos during the sale.
After having a little “swatch party” with my blushes, I realized that I have a ton of neutral blushes, coral blushes, and deep blushes… but I own little to no pink blushes. Needless to say, I when I saw the three lightest duos in this line (and learned that the blushes were Talc Free), all sense of control left my body.
Price: $38.00 USD (each) / $30.40 USD
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna | Kilawatt Freestyle Highlighter & Lip Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fenty Glow Mini Duo
Believe it or not, I’ve yet to try anything from the Fenty Beauty line; however, I’ve often swatched the Kilawatt Freestyle Highlighters in store. After much contemplation, I knew I wanted to take the plunge and try one of the brand’s beloved highlighters. From a gloss perspective, I watched ten videos with reviews, demos, and comparisons of the Fenty Gloss Bombs to try to figure out which of the three shades I’d like to try. Ultimately, I decided on picking up the Mini Face & Lip Set.
Price: $23.00 USD / $18.40 USD (Sale)
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna | Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Shady Biz
When I saw the Fenty Bronzers teased on the TrendMood Instagram page, I nearly screamed. Not only am I impressed by the shade range, but the packaging is breath-taking. I had trouble deciding between the two lightest shades in the line, but ultimately went with the shade Shady Biz after comparing swatches to Inda Sun (the lightest shade).
Price: $30.00 USD / $24.00 USD (Sale)
KORRES | Pomegranate Mattifying Primer
A clean beauty primer that promises to mattify the skin and smooth the appearance of pores? Sign me up. Even though I don’t like matte foundations, I do enjoy pairing matte primers with natural or dewy foundations and base products. While I own a few pore-filling primers, I don’t own a true, matte primer. I’ve heard a few YouTubers rave about the KORRES Pomegranate Mattifying Primer, so I’m super excited to add this to my collection.
Price: $33.00 USD / $26.40 USD (Sale)
Milk Makeup | Hydro Grip Primer Mini
Y’all, I have been hyped for this primer since it was teased. As an oily skinned girl, I’m intrigued by products that promise to keep my makeup in place all day. I don’t use many moisturizing primers, but this Hydro Grip Primer looks quite promising.
However, I’ve heard quite a few YouTubers claim that this primer caused breakouts, so I opted to try the mini size of this product before committing to buying the full-size version. (Again, shout out to Milk for making it so easy to try their products without breaking the bank.)
Price: $15.00 USD / $12.00 USD (Sale)
Milk Makeup | Tattoo Stamp
I know what you’re thinking…. this Star Tattoo Stamp from Milk is gimmicky AF…. and it is. BUT I was so intrigued to try this and at the $12.00 USD price point I couldn’t resist.
Price: $12.00 USD/ $10.60 USD (Sale)
TATCHA | The Silk Canvas Protective Primer Mini
The TATCHA Silk Canvas Primer is easily one of the hottest primers of the moment. Everyone and their mother raves about how this primer works wonders on their skin and provides the most flawless base. Given that TATCHA sells this cult-favorite primer in a mini size, I knew I had to try this out for myself.
Price: $22.00 USD / $17.60 USD (Sale)
Urban Decay | Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette
When the Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette was first released I did not understand the hype surrounding this launch. The palette packaging seemed cheesy and I wasn’t quite sure about the color story.
However, as time wore on, I found myself more drawn to the muted colors in this palette. To me this palette’s color story is what I would refer to as “approachable” color… meaning that this is a palette that even a non-color wearing eyeshadow lover could get inspiration from or be drawn to. Also, I was impressed by the in-store swatches of this palette, so I knew I had to take this bad boy home with me.
Price: $49.00 USD / $39.20 USD (Sale)
IT Cosmetics | Bye Bye Under Eye Brightening Eye Cream
I hate myself for loving the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Brightening Eye Cream, but my eyes have been thoroughly missing this product since I finished up the free mini that I received as part of a Sephora 500 Perk set. This eye cream immediately improves the appearance of the under eye for a plumper, brighter, more youthful looking appearance.

Price: $48.00 USD / $38.40 USD (Sale)
Sol de Janeiro | Coco Cabana Body Fragrance Mist (Mini)
Ever since trying Sol de Janeiro products at Beautycon NYC, I’ve been obsessed with the brand. If my finances allowed for it, I’d probably try the entire line from Sol de Janeiro. Alas, I’m not a millionaire, so I’ve been trying products from the brand here and there.
I already purchased the larger size Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist at their Beautycon booth (and I’ve been loving it), so I decided to snag the mini of the Coco Cabana Body Fragrance Mist during the VIB Sale. I will caution readers that the Coco Cabana scent is polarizing… wearers either love it or hate it. The smell is noticeably warmer, more coconut-y, and buttery. While I enjoy the smell, some buyers have compared the scent to popcorn (LOL!).
Price: $19.00 USD / $15.2 USD (Sale)
Summer Fridays | Overtime Mask
Is it possible to scroll through the Instagram discover feed without seeing a luxe looking flat lay displaying the Summer Friday masks? Summer Fridays is a brand that so many skincare junkies rave about on social media.
Although the Jet Lag mask is their most hyped product, I decided to snag the Overtime Mask because it seems like a better fit for my skin needs. This mask promises to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, uneven texture, and pores. Oh, and did I mention that this is certified clean at Sephora?
Price: $44.00 USD / $38.40 USD (Sale)
Supergoop! | Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40
2019 has been the year of sunscreen for me. Rather than repurchasing my beloved Algenist Sublime Defense Sunscreen, I’ve opted to branch out to try new brands this year. So far, I liked the Glossier Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen, feel “meh” about the La Roche-Posay Athelios Clear Dry Touch Sunscreen, and was sorely let down by the Drunk Elephant Umbra Tint. Although I’m getting tired of trying out so many sunscreens, I still want to explore a few more brands. Specifically, I want to try COOLA’s and Supergoop!’s much raved about sunscreens.
The Unseen Sunscreen by Supergoop! promises to be weightless, scentless, and invisible. Very curious to see if this lives up to the hype.
Price: $32.00 USD / $25.60 USD
Honestly, I’m proud of myself for thinking critically about (most of) these purchases. Before actually placing my order online (I purchased in-store and ordered a few items online), I removed five or six products from my cart and swapped out two full-sized products for a mini bundle. Also, I removed items that were total duplicates in my collection that would have essentially become backups.
There are very few items I’d categorize as *splurges* (cough, cough Cover FX & Anastasia Beverly Hills). Most items I purchased actually fill a gap in my collection or serve a purpose. This will be my last large haul until my birthday / Christmas approaches (Spoiler: I do have a drug store Haul scheduled, but those items were all purchased earlier this year at random times.)
