At the close of 2018, I had every intention of doing a yearlong cosmetic No-Buy. Having successfully completed a 6 month No Buy in years past, I felt like this challenge would be doable for me. However, the more I thought about doing a yearlong No Buy, the more anxious I became about my spending... I started to spend uncontrollably, constantly buying new beauty products online. Essentially, I was on a beauty binge that lasted for roughly 2.5 months. As a result of my reckless spending this Fall and this Winter, I've decided to put myself on a three-month long No-Buy. My No-Buy started on February 11th and will run through May 11th.
This past Winter I was nominated for three Mystery Blogger Awards by the lovely and talented Sonia Georgina of Chronillicles, Amarjeet Sonia Madaan of Kaurstylefile, and Jenni of Housewife Hustle. The Mystery Blogger award is a blogger to blogger tag created by Okota Enigma. Thank you all for nominating me. I may be slow to [...]
If you like beauty and you like drama... then this Beautycon NYC 2019 Recap is 100% for you! This year's event was full of awesome moments, but unfortunately, the overall experience didn't live up to the hype that was promised online. Brand Experiences I can't lie, I'm still salty that many of the major American [...]
I can't lie - I am bummed that I missed out the the Melt Cosmetics Gemini Palette. The color scheme is the perfect combination of warm browns and grungy greens. Leave it to Melt to make beauty lovers worldwide lust after pukey green and brown colors. The Gemini Palette helped to start the wave of green-hued palettes that we're currently seeing in the market. As a result, there are quite a few ways to dupe this palette with single shadows or shadows in other pre-made palettes... for much less! Please keep reading to see how I created a dupe palette for the Melt Cosmetics Gemini Palette.
As a blogger, there is nothing more disappointing than pouring your heart and soul into a blog post that performs poorly in terms of engagement. Not only can this be a frustrating experience, but it has the potential to dishearten or dissuade you from blogging in the future. As we all know, failure is a [...]
If you follow me on Twitter, then you may have seen that there was drama surrounding this year's Hauler bag at Beautycon NYC 2019. To summarize everything in the simplest terms possible, people were highly disappointed at this year's Hauler Bag (Freebie bag) because (1) the bag had barely any product in it when compared to previous years and (2) many of us actually received bags that were only half-full. Although Beautycon tried to rectify the latter issue, I still did not receive everything that my friend did and others were so disappointed that they didn't come back to swap out their bag. Nevertheless, between the hauler bag, the free samples from exhibiting brands, and the purchases I made at the event, I actually came home with a ton of products! As always, I don't share posts with the intention to brag...personally, I like watching or reading this type of content because I genuinely love beauty and I'm just curious to see what is out on the market. If you're like me, then please keep reading.
